Dr. Ashley Darnell Mcintyre, MD

I have been seeing Dr McIntyre for 4 years. That practice is designed to force people to go pay a $35 co-pay just to get their meds refilled. Dr McIntyre himself is nice, but this doesn't begin to make up for the ridiculous hassles associated with getting refills. That is what makes a medical practice into a scam.

Let me preface my comment by saying I am not a fan of doctors at all! Dr.McIntyre is the exception. This man is extremely thorough and he has trained his NP's to be as well! He listens when others would have shut me down, over talked me or dismissed my concerns all together and I can say the same for the NP's (glad the snotty one is gone). I mentioned my displeasure with the office staff and how certain things were handled a year or so ago and I was assured changes were going to be made soon and believe me, they have! Scheduling appointments is so much better than it was when I initially became a patient several years ago, pick if you want doc or NP!

I've been to this office twice and never met the doctor. My mother has been many times and has seen him once. My mother is older and has several medical issues that always require an examination from a specialist. The visits to the specialists always require a referral and/or records from Dr. McIntyre. Within the last three months my mother has needed orthopedic and Gastroenterology, referrals that we have had to ask for SEVERAL TIMES from his staff. This wait time does nothing but prolong care that my mother needs and leaves her in agonizing pain longer than necessary. The staff and doctor are incompetent and negligent in my opinion and the doctor's office should be shut down.

Dr. Is never in and you will always see a nurse practitioner

I never met the doctor, only the nurse and receptionist. I was diagnosed as having diabetes after one test from drinking some thick stuff taste like sprite, yuk!! All previous test from my other physicians says negative on diabetic tests. Was prescribed medications for a person who was 300 lbs, which in turn,side effects will damage your kidneys., then I'm told that you will take this pill, which you will have to go on dialysis..??? I got a second opinion, did not take any medication prescribed by this doctor. Contacted my insurance provider quickly, that day! Is he really a MD..doctor or ritualistic doctor???

Horrible experience with office staff! Never return phone calls, lost my file, never explains x-rays or test results, never saw the Doctor only NP's.....Worst experience with a medical providers office. Highly recommend avoiding if at all possible!!!!

I have only seen Dr. Ashley McIntyre one time and that was enough. His staff doesn't return calls, ever. Labs results are provided through a phone line, not a letter in the mail; however, I never received my lab results after 7 weeks and numerous unreturned phone calls. Avoid this doctor--it is a waste of time and money!

I have been with Dr Mcintyre for a couple of years now. He is good but his staff is unacceptable. Getting an appointment is not easy even if you can get thru on the phone. The nurse messed up my prescriptions more than once. I will be looking for another doctor soon.

The staff here is unbelievably rude. Dr. McIntyre has always been very pleasant to me, but the fact that he allows his staff to treat patients so poorly is concerning. I have been a patient of his since he started practicing. He had 1 nurse, 1 secretary, and a waiting room the size of a postage stamp. He was great back then. I feel like he has lost touch with what has made him so successful and allowed him to open multiple offices. I have read complaints about his secretary but she has always been amazing to me. His office manager is a different story. She is the rudest person I have ever experienced in my life. She also has no medical knowledge. How she maintains a job in a doctor's office is beyond my comprehension. The "nurses" are a joke. They don't even know how to take a blood pressure accurately. I had to show them how to do it on multiple occasions. They are strictly warm bodies to escort people to and from the exam rooms. God help you if you have an issue that needs to be… resolved and you have to talk to them on the phone. They have absolutely no idea of what's going on. Dr. McIntyre used to be a good doctor to see, but now I would strongly discourage patients from using him. I am very disappointed in what his office has turned into. Fire your staff and get people that know what's going on in there! Also, require that they are pleasent and treat your patients with respect. We are customers after all. We are paying you. Treat us that way!!
