Hi, I’m Ashley McNamara, PA-C with Portneuf Heart and Lung Surgeons! I am a certified and licensed physician assistant specializing in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. I have been practicing for 14 years. I completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida in exercise physiology. In 2007, I took a job working in a cardiac rehab program, which ultimately led me to becoming a surgical PA. Cardiac surgery has always been my passion. I started my career immediately after graduating from the University of Alabama – Birmingham PA program in 2010. Getting the opportunity to see patients walk out the door in better health than when they walked in gives me a passion for what I do. Outside of work, I spend most of my time chasing around my boys. We are an adventurous family and try to spend our time outdoors skiing, hiking and rafting. We love to travel and have made memorable trips including a honeymoon in the backcountry of Iceland, camping in the Amazon forest and a …helicopter rescue out of Rocky Mountain National Park.
