Ashley Perreault, NP-C

Ashley Perreault, NP-C, is a cardiology nurse practitioner in Kankakee who supports heart patients through personalized, whole-person care. She focuses on meeting patients where they are in their health journey.I chose nursing because I enjoy working with people, helping people and continuing to learn as medicine changes. As a bedside nurse in Riverside's intensive care unit, I cared for open-heart surgery patients, and that experience drew me toward cardiology. I grew up in this community, and my own health care experiences and my family's have been connected to Riverside. My philosophy is to meet each person where they are in their health journey because no two patients are the same. I try to understand each patient's goals, concerns and view of health before making a plan. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Illinois State University and my Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from the University of Saint Francis. I am board-certified by the American …Academy of Nurse Practitioners. My care focuses on cardiology, patient education and whole-person support for better heart health.
