Ashley Tunkle might be a good doctor, but careful with her staff. I had heard of Tunkle through the community, called her office and was told that yes, I could transfer to her practice. I thereafter signed all of the necessary paperwork to transfer all of my personal medical history to her practice. When I called a couple of months later to request a referral for an cardiologist visit, I was told that "they were no longer accepting patients with my insurance" . I explained that I had already transferred to Tunkle's practice, but their response was "sorry we are full for people with your type of insurance." Tunkle's staff then told me with a whiff of hope that she would inquire and call me back - she never called back. I find this glib "treatment" of potential patients very unpleasant

My husband and I saw dr. Tunkle for the first time and she was wonderful Put us right at ease would highly recommend her

I am a chronically ill person that has had to see many doctors and I can say with certainty that Dr. Tunkle cares about her patients and if she doesn't have an answer she will work hard to find it or consult other doctors to figure things out. She or her nurse always return calls, fax in scripts and that's huge. If you're looking for a primary care doctor I highly recommend Dr. Tunkle.
