Dr. Ashok Jayaram, MD

My mother went to Dr. Jayaram for consultation and treatment for her severe, ongoing arthritis-related pain. My mother entered the doctor's office with her walker, sat down, and then Dr. Jayaram closed the door. He looked down at her medical records for a few seconds, then looked up at my mother and said, "What do you want me to do for you?" My mother told him the kind of medicine she had been taking. He just looked at her for a long pause without saying anything and then said, "So what do you want me to do for you?" My mother repeated to him, but the nice doctor wasn't listening. He finally just stood up to leave. Before he did so, my mother struggled to stand up, then extended her hand and said, "Doctor, I want to thank you for seeing me today." Dr. Jayaram just looked at her, glanced down at her hand, and without saying a word or shaking her hand, simply turned around and walked out of the room. Let's just say that my mother never went back to him. She left his office in tears.

All this guy wants to do is steal money from patients and insurance companies.

Only wants your money. Go elsewhere.

He needs to retire. He's arrogant and sends his lab work out to a very costly lab. Your insurance won't pay it all. There are excellent local labs that could run the drug panel he requests. It's like he suspects a patient of being a drug addict and since he only accepts referrals all the mega testing is stupid. And he doesn't care that his patients are paying for this needless expensive testing. I will never return as his actions and expertise are suspicious. He never helped my pain and only wanted to make money off you. I question his ethics.

He is one of a kind! My wait to see him was short and he got right down to business. Having the good fortune to have been referred to his office was a blessing to me. He outlined his course of treatment without any pressure on me to agree to what he had planned. Due to his expertise my pain has gotten better and I won't even have to keep my next appointment. Rest assured should my pain happen to get worse, his office will be the first call I make.

Dr. Jayaram conducted what I would call a 30 to 40 minute interrogation and followed up with vague medical percentages and statistics that has nothing to do with my multifaceted medical history. Horrible experience, left in tears and would steer clear of his arrogance and contradictions, because he isn't there to listen to his patients, provide any genuine compassion or useful insight because he didn't care enough to listen.

Worst doctor I have ever seen. This place is not a pain clinic. They will keep you in pain to make money off of you.

I am amazed at some of the reviews I read. I have been going to Dr. Jayaram for over 10 years. I was in horrible shape when I first saw this wonderful caring man. The reviews that say otherwise are all wrong. I believe he was not given a chance to show you how he could help. He has helped me all these years and could not stand my life and pain without him. He cares so deeply about others and their pain, I trust him and have never had any bad vibes about him. Dr Jayaram is definitely my angel who has made my life bearable. Thank you so much Dr. Jayaram and I give him 5 stars.

Going to PMC and seeing this doctor have been one of the worst experience I have ever had. I have been in pain management for over ten years before going there. When I saw him I was told they don't use short acting medication and was told short acting medication with long acting medication causes death, that was news to me seeing as I had taken short and long acting together for 10 years. So he dropped my overall medication by over %50 as well as putting me on weaker medication as well as no short acting meds. It was then a mystery to them as to why I could not make the meds last. They don't think tolerance is a real thing and largely believe that pain meds don't do much. But the will force u to get injections even if u tell them they have not worked in the past. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS

Dr Ashok Jayaram is a fine man and pain expert. He helped me immeasurably with my pain.
