Dr. Ashok Jilhewar, MD

Dr. Jilhewar helped my husband through his diagnosis, struggle and last days of life with colon cancer. We lived in the neighborhood and could call him anytime day or night. He would have come to our house if needed, but it didn't become necessary. The Dr. was always helpful, even when there wasn't anything left to do but support my husband through his death. My husband was 33, and no doctor would agree to give him a colonoscopy even after months of stomach pain and significant weight loss. He was considered to far outside the margins of onset of this typically middle-aged disease. Dr. Jilhewar, after taking the time to get to know my husband, agreed to do it and allowed me to be in the room during the procedure. We found the tumor and the rest is history. I am very grateful to have found this doctor and he remains in my highest esteem to this day.
