i WAS TOLD I HAD A VERY SERIOUS BLOCKAGE IN MY NECK AND WAS HIGH RISK. wAS TURNED DOWN BY MANY OTHERS AND HE TOOK TIME TO HELP ME AND CARRIED OUT A SUCCESSFUL SURGERY AND i AM BACK TO WORK

Family member was too young to die. He was a construction worker very capable of working long hours and in a demanding field. After the surgery, he complained of difficulty breathing and he was sweating, but after going to this doctor, the doctor dismissed it as "gas". Less than 48 hours later he died.

It has been brought to our attention that this doctor dismissed the symptoms of our brother as that of being "gas" postsurgery. IF this physician would have spent just five minutes with him, he would have discoverd that he was hemoraging internally from stitches that did not hold from his surgery. NEVER NEVER dismiss a patient's pleas - Was it because he came in late on a Friday afternoon and you wanted to go home? How sad, our brother can never come home again.

Dr. Kumar & his office staff were caring & compassionate in dealing with my father's fears & concerns prior to surgeries.

Although he did seem a bit rushed when I went for a follow up, he did sit down and take the time to answer my qustions and give me his opinion on another surgery I had pending. He also recommended another excellent surgeon. While having a hernia repaired, he used concious sedation rather than general anesthia. I was a bit worried about this, but he quickly put my mind at ease. I remember saying "I felt that" during surgery and him saying "ok, we'll give you some more". Other than that little hiccup, it all went smoothly.Although he is not one for idle chit-chat, he is more than willing to spend the time to explain proceedures and answer any questions you may have even if it is not in his field of practice. I give him a solid "A".

I have never had another surgeon who cared as little about controlling the patients' pain than this surgeon. When using local anesthesia to excise wounds or remove necrotic flesh after a deep injection of procaine he waited no time for the drug to take effect before incising with the scalpel. He blamed the agonising pain level on the inflammation of the wound, but offered little other pain relief which WAS available by IV. Worse yet, I had to return to him for a follow-up visit where he had to again cut in for a tissue sample checking for infection. It was the same as before. As this was a workman's comp injury, a nurse from a 3rd party company accompanies me on some visits. Was appalled, and advised me that over her dead bosy I would be returning to him. Thank You.
