Dr. Ashok Kuruvilla

I had a 2:20 appointment but Kuruvilla did not come into the small room I was in until 3:30. The staff downloaded my insulin pump in the meantime, which should take about five minutes. It took them 35 minutes so that my blood sugar went quite high without insulin for such a long time. When Kuruvilla finally came in, I told him I was leaving. He was very rude and arrogant, as if I had injured him in some way. I wonder what the practice would have done if I had arrived more than an hour after my scheduled appointment. Just a complete nightmare. Please, avoid this creep at all costs!

He is an incompetent physician who should have his liscence revoked for making psychiatric diagnosis’s in the street when he is only a mediocre endocrinologist if you read his rating which is “Fair”

My appointment was canceled with no excuse given 1.5 hours before it was scheduled.

I was a little comprehensive at first but he made me feel very relaxed and calm. I like him a lot.

Arrogant, condescending, and misleading. More interested in talking into computer microphone than in discussing treatment/medications. Unwilling to hear patient concerns about medication side effects. Would not recommend.

Dr. Kuruvilla has a great bedside manner and is very knowledgeable. Don't bother trying to make an appointment with him though; he retired in March. If he comes out of retirement, I'll return to him.

dr kuruvilla is a good doctor but the staff is very unfriendly and they ignore patients completely. The receptionist never answers the phone or returns messages and the medical assistant is rude and very unfriendly also. My mother was unable to get her insulin after repeated unsuccess after informing the receptionist and nurse. She was toldthey would return the call and never did. Like I said the doctor is great no problem but If a patient cant get prescriptions or information throught the receptionist, which is her job , then eventually noone willbe able to go back there.

Dr Kuruvilla is attentive and answers any concerns you have. He is thorough and comes off as caring. His staff, though personable, don't seem to have a thing together. One front desk lady is yelling at the other one for making mistakes, while she herself doesn't know what she's doing, she forgot to write "fasting" on my prescription for bloodwork so I had to do it over, even Dr. K had to tell her she made that mistake. There is no computer system - scheduling is done in a book - so if you forget your appointment date and any of the ladies are too lazy to flip through the pages, then you're at a loss. I tried to reschedule an appt, the lady told me I was mistaken and had no appt for that day, I had to call back AGAIN in the hopes of getting someone else, turns out the lady was looking at the wrong day and instead of being helpful automatically passed it off as my fault. I have switched doctors since. I cannot deal with the headaches of an incompetent staff.
