Dr Ashok Sawlani is very knowledgeable, calm and listens patiently. He answers and addresses all my questions. Office visits are on time and promptly returns my calls.

If I could give this Dr zero starts I would. He absolutely does not give a flying f**+ about his patients as he never does the orders correctly, has no idea what his patients are even taking and never responds in a timely manner to any of our requests. He has excellent nursing staff but please do not waste your time and go to someone who actually cares about you as a medical provider.

I am writing this review to alert others about the alarming and unacceptable treatment my mother received from this internal medicine doctor at the hospital's general medicine department. She was discharged with serious, unresolved medical issues. Throughout her entire hospital stay, she was placed on "nothing by mouth" status and was only allowed to eat the very morning of her discharge. When she tried to eat she experienced extreme abdominal pain causing her to refuse to eat. Now, after being transferred back to the nursing home, my mother has continued to be unable to eat or drink, marking a total of 10 days without food. The doctor was fully aware she required a surgical procedure to diagnose and resolve her condition, yet inexplicably discharged her one day before the scheduled procedure. Compounding the cruelty of this situation, my mother has Alzheimer's and cannot effectively communicate her pain or condition. Despite my repeated attempts to advocate on her behalf, the doctor… displayed complete disregard for my concerns and insisted on proceeding in his own way, demonstrating a disturbing lack of empathy and care—for instance, dismissing my detailed explanations of my mother's symptoms and repeatedly minimizing the severity of her pain.  He has zero understanding of the stress a change of envirorment puts on elderly patients.   This kind of treatment is not only negligent but cruel, especially towards elderly patients who cannot advocate for themselves. Please be vigilant and protect your loved ones from such neglectful and uncompassionate medical care.

Find another doctor. My mom died under his care in 2005. By the time she died she was on 11 different prescriptions all written by him. He doesn't know what he's doing. I wouldn't want another family to go through the pain we went through.

This doctor treats my mom at 2007 my primary care doctor was on call for him on a Sunday and she told me he was over medicating her. upon this year she was in the hospital and he was treating her for asthma which is supposed to be one of his specialties but he doesn't know how to treat for asthma. That's why she has the specialist who specializes in asthma and Pulmonary and is treated her for years she has been off of Prednisone and he started her back on that he was giving her unnecessary breathing treatments. patients beware this doctor could wind up harming you or your loved one
