Dr. Ashok Kumar Verma, MD

First off his front desk person is so very rude. Also patients complained about how hot it was in the waiting room and she told them it was fine and the air conditioning was on a timer and they would just have to wait for it to start. If you want to ask her a question she rudely tells you to sit down and she’ll call you up when she’s ready. When you go back the doctor literally takes 5 minutes with you. He listens back and front to your heart and then sits down writes a few things and then tells you to come back in 3 months. Went in with all the symptoms of an heart attack and was brushed off with come have a treadmill test and echo and then we’ll see. If I haven’t passed away before then. Would not recommend him at all. Just going to take my chances- that’s about the same care you’ll receive from him.

Waited an hour for appointment. Dr Verma himself was not friendly, very blunt and curt. Didn't tell me to have a great day when finished, didn't say thanks or goodbye or anything... he just got up and walked out of the room.

Although the quality of heart stints Dr. Verma performs is excellent (per his peers and thus his nickname "Stint Doctor"), everything else about this practice and care is so poor it is almost unbelievable. His office staff is unorganized, un-knowledgeable, and grossly incompetent (and I don't say that lightly). Not only did they botch routine tests during my visit, they did not/would not bill my insurance, which resulted in a lawsuit. The suit was dropped (because I was correct) but not after it cost me thousands of dollars. All because of their incompetency and lack of professional communication. His peers will tell you, "he doesn't care anymore and needs to retire". So sad, even they know.

Thank you for finding my heart disease. But there waiting time for an appointment is so unprofessional ?? waiting for over an HOUR is not what we expected to do especially with a patient that just had open heart bypass surgery....

The office staff and billing department are unprofessional. They are rude and difficult. Dr. Verma spent minimal time and seemed rushed. I was very concerned and had many questions. I would not return to this office.

My MD did said I had indigestion sent me home. I became worse went to walk in clinic they sent me to Dr Verma. I had the Widow Maker blockage. He saved my life. Because for Dr Verma I am here enjoying my family.

During the follow-up appointment to my EKG and nuclear stress test, Dr. Verma said I had a couple of murmurs that were no problem and I was good to go. When I inquired about ongoing intermittent chest discomfort, he said he didn't know but it wasn't my heart. Subsequently, his office called me three times. I was out of town, and when I returned the calls a week later, no one in the office knew why I had been called. I called two more times and was given the same message and my call was never followed up on. Six weeks later, I received Dr. Verma's report which contained assessments and treatments we had never discussed. I made an appointment to find out what was going on. Dr. Verma said he had treated two similar cases that day and when he looked at his notes at the end of the day he realized he had not told me everything and that is why his office had called me. He could not explain why his office had never followed up on my return calls. He made a big deal out of my chest discomfort.… I may need surgery (not cardiological) and first Dr. Verma said surgery would be okay and then he said it would not be, pending further testing. I am taking my test results to another cardiologist for a second opinion and will not go back to Dr. Verma.
