Dr. Ashraf Sami Abdelhafez, MD

I was put in w Dr. Abdelhafez when my usual Dr wasn’t available. I’d heard he was new so I was a bit apprehensive since I was quite ill and I have several objectively diagnosed, complex conditions. Dr. A was kind, not at all patronizing, thorough, quick to look up things with which he was not familiar, and generally a nice, friendly guy. I’m a wheelchair-bound woman - I’ve dealt with my fair share of patronizing, misogynistic jerks and Dr. A certainty isn’t one. I’m really bummed to find he’s left the practice I use and may drive several extra miles to continue care with him. He got a kick out of the fact that I could pronounce his name (I just don’t want to type Abdelhafez 14x). He direct admitted me from the office and had me stay there in a room (slightly more comfortable) until a room was available at the hospital since I REALLY didn’t want to go thru the ED. He made a point to see me in the hospital on his rotation days even though I was on a specialist’s service at that point so… it wasn’t strictly required. I’ve seen the good, bad, and awful of doctors and Dr A is a good egg.

No communication between the doctor and office staff the NP doesn't cooperate in any wsy

I sat through at least 1/2 of my 21yo son's medical visit, as he has some special needs. Dr. Abdelhafez treated him with great dignity and took an extended amount of time to talk through several medical concerns my son has. I was impressed to see this doctor offer treatment options, while referring him to various specialists as the follow-up plan, rather than acting as a one and done all-knowing MD. It increased my confidence in his medical advice. Typically, this son is extremely nervous, but it was his 2nd time see Dr. Abdelhafez and there was a noticeable level of comfort. Thank you, sir, for a job well done!

Definitely a mysogynist, a joke and a waste of time. A complete idiot when it comes to medications and conditions previously diagnosed from multiple doctors nearly a decade before seeing him. Worst doctor I have ever been to.

My visit with this doctor was appalling. He is a complete idiot and a misogynist.
