Dr. Ashraf Mohamed Attalla, MD

Dr Attalla has a very good listening skills, is knowledgable, and speaks in a direct manner. He has a conservative use of medications in my opinion. Which I like. He has a very "centered" viewpoint. Parents need his perspective to understand their child's behavior. I didn't give "accurate diagnosis" four stars only because I have come to realize psychiatry is not accurate, because we are so complex and our brains are complex. The chemistry of the brain cannot be viewed on a screen like a broken bone on an x-ray. I hope someday it can be. I believe Dr. Attalla uses his skills, god-given talent, education, and judgement to his best ability. I have seen only two other psychiatrists to compare to, but by far, he has been the best for my daughter, who suffers from depression and bipolar disorder. His staff is exceptional. You will love Patti. Very friendly atmosphere. Wish the very tight waiting room were larger though. Psychiatrists who see younger patients need to accommodate the parents… and siblings, and this requires more seating.
