Dr. Ashraf Assaad Iskander, MD

Dr. Iskander has been my PCP for over 10 years. My husband and I are extremely humbled and grateful for him. We will continue to see him even after robots take over because he will continue to practice medicine remotely.

Friendly and professional

Dr. Iskander is a great Doctor who always lighten the room with his witty and funny jokes to make everyone smile. He was my mother’s Dr. while my mother was in the hospital and answered every question we had. When we scheduled an appointment at his Plainfield office we had no issues until we received a call from our insurance company telling us that we did not need to pay the co-pay due to reaching our out of pocket maximum. I made it a point to call the office to explain that we needed a refund due to reaching our maximum. I spoke to the receptionist, Mimi who assured me that she would speak to the dr because she had never heard of that and would call me back. A few days went by and I still have no received a call. Playing a long game of “phone tag” I finally got in touch with her TWO WEEKS later. She told me that she’s never heard of not paying a co-pay and had to pay “no matter what”. To me, this means that she in fact have not spoken with the Dr. because it’s a law in… affordable healthcare to have these out of pocket maximums and any health care professional should know these things. In the 5 minute phone call Mimi (supposed healthcare professional) proved to me that her professionalism was thrown out the window or non existent. She had proven with several inappropriate comments, unprofessional exhales and that she has no business in talking with patients and shouldn’t be in a customer service/healthcare setting. A patient should never be talked to in this manner and as a result they have lost a patient. Please advice these comments as concerned, angry and appalled patient before scheduling an appointment.

My dad has numerous illnesses God bless his soul, but he is not the easiest to deal with. Doctor Iskander was able to kindly treat him while making him feel comfortable the entire time with his humor. I am so appreciative he has no idea!

I don't recommend this doctor. He took 8 days to submit a prescription through Walgreens. Awful Doctor.

The best doctor ever... Trust him totally for whatever he say is always right and very knowledgable , I totally recommend him100%.

Dr Iskander always takes the time to ask appropriate questions and never seems in a hurry to dismis you. Dr. Iskander gives an honest answer to your questions and is a friendly individual. His office is spotless and his staff is couteous and friendly. Dr. Alex is the best General Practioner I have run across and I trust him implicitly.

Dr. Iskander is great. I was a little hesitant to go at first based on the reviews, but I'm glad I went. He is very caring and funny, he is very knowledgeable, and you can tell he enjoys his job. Overall he is a great doctor.

I am a patient of his, and I must say some people dont get it!! I thought it was nice and refreshing to find a Dr who can make comments that I could laugh at, and make me feel better. Dr Iskander is my dr and he is no way a pervert. the comments about him were way off base, apparently the person who made those remarks has some inner issues to deal with. He is by far a professional doctor, kind and considerate and compassionate and like everyone else needs to make a living. I give him 4 stars.

Dr. Iskander was excellent at listening and was the only one who was able to diagnose me. He is kind and doesn't rush you like some practices as if a timer is going to go off.
