Dr. Ashwini Reddy, MD

I found Dr. Reddy to be condescending in the extreme, as well as borderline rude. This was my first appointment with her as a referral from my primary care physician for an insulin pump. The visit was a “here’s your hat, what’s your hurry,” experience. She kept saying “do you understand?” in a dogmatic tone of voice as if I were illiterate. She also indicated she had already exceeded her scheduled time with me and bid me goodby as she abruptly rolled out of the office on her chair. Not so good. She was uninterested in discussing an insulin pump and on the whole, wasted my time. On the other hand, her office staff were great.

The only positive thing I can say is that she has friendly staff. Which by the way I feel she talked down to and even went as far as snapping to get one of her staff members to come faster. She has absolutely no bed side manner. She kept asking me "you know what I am saying" after everything she said to me. She even referenced me as "girl". "You know what I am saying girl?" She did not listen to anything I said about previous doctors I had seen when I was living up north and said that I needed to go see a Rheumatologist, Allergist and sleep study Doctor. I have already seen a Rheumatologist and RA was ruled out. I felt she rushed me through and did not offer anything to help me with my issues. She actually googled different diagnosis and medication that I have been taking that is working and read what she got online. Then when I mentioned something, I had read online she said to not to believe everything I read online. umm.. hmmm.. That is exactly what she just did which made me very… uneasy of her knowledge and professionalism. I asked her if she could at least put in lab orders so that we have more to go on once I see these other specialist, and the fact that I felt I needed to get something out of this $50 co-pay visit. She said yeah sure... she ONLY put in orders for me to get my TSH checked which per my lab results has been in the normal range and we discussed that my PCP already had orders to re-check in 3 months. . I left in tears. I had been looking forward to this appt for months to try and get some answers and was very dissatisfied to say the least. I have never left a bad review for anyone in my life but I felt the need to warn people to NOT waste your time with this so-called "Dr." TERRIBLE experience! STAY AWAY FROM ASHWINI REDDY

She was great!!

I researched endocrinologists and originally saw positive feedback to make appt but have since seen similar negative reviews after my experience. When I met with her she was very rushed and dismissive of my symptoms. She didn't listen to what I told her which was evident when I got the notes of my visit and she had misinformation in there and stated she discussed topics with me that were never discussed. Then she kept saying repeatedly "you know what I am saying" as if I were stupid while she explained away and dismissed any of my symptoms. Finally after about the 7th or 8th time of her saying you know what I'm saying, I said I was educated and understood what she was saying. It was a rushed visit and she documented notes that were never discussed. The only positive about The Visit was the staff was nice. But needless to say I will not be returning to this provider. She also told me I was incorrect on what subliminal hypothyroidism, even though my primary doctor AND the formal… medical definition of it was correct and completely opposite of what she said.

Excellent endocronologist. Prompt and courteous. Her staff greatly helped me with a Tricare injectable medication that requires an annual waiver. Joan is a wonderful staff member. Her patient for life,

I've been her patient for several years and dr Ready always worked with me I read many very horrible reviews, and i never had any of those experiences. as far as the staff, well, offer staff are employees, same as doctors, so the dr has little say. yes, I sometimes felt rushed but dr ready always checked my sugars, made changes/ recommendations. had telemed appoint that got rough start, but dr ready kept calling back. - I am sorry to read the bad reviews, . she might not be a warm and fuzzy person, but she is up to date on care and technology and is honest if you need warm and fuzzy, get a teddy bear, u want a good endocrinologist, see dr ready

Dr. Reddy is extremely rude and ignorant when it comes to thyroid issues. First off she demanded that I switch from Synthroid to Trilosint claiming it was wonderful and all of her patients loved it. I even told her I was worried about changing too many things too quickly as I don't want to have a bad reaction. She insisted and told me not to read anything about this drug accept what is on the Trilosint website. This immediately raised suspicions and I asked what other websites or research were saying, she just said "don't believe what you read on the internet". Foolishly enough I listened to her despite my gut instincts and it almost landed me in the ER after Day 1. Then when I called her to figure out what to do she would not even listen to me and told me to find another doctor. She also used all kinds of scare tactics telling me I am going to have heart problems, etc, even though my heart rate and blood pressure were normal. Ironically, it was her advice that caused me to have… problems!!! In addition to all of this she did not even request T3 on my labs which is the bare minimum for thyroid work. Good doctors even go beyond that to include reverse T3, autoimmune tests, etc. I seriously think this person is getting kickbacks from drug companies to push products. No wonder I got an appointment so quickly. I wish I never saw her. Oh and lets not forget she won't let you get a single word in about your symptoms or anything else for that matters. Cuts you right off after two words. I stood up for myself and questioned her and she sure didn't like that. Stay far away from this person. She is a danger.

She isaid a caring doctor whom uses up ton date medical knowledge. She is not a stick to old fashion medications that do not work or are just keeping you from getting better like metformin.

Doctor Reddy nurse is arrogant. She didn't know how to appropriately submit a prescription for the freestyle Libre and then said something to doctor Reddy and Doctor Reddy decided to discharge me and I only saw her once. I was not impressed at all and I encourage you to look for a different endocrinologist, one who knows how to take care of his or her patients. It was a waste of time.7
