Dr. Asim Hameedi, MD

I recently saw Dr. Hameedi in his Bayside Office. I was having fatigue and dizziness. My stress test was Normal. He referred me for a CT angiogram, which showed severe blockages in my heart arteries. I underwent successful heart surgery, which saved my life. Dr. Hameedi's careful attention to my symptoms saved my life and my family from a catastrophe. I can't thank him enough.

Dr Hameedi's attention to my symptoms despite having normal tests saved my life. I was having fatigue and restlessness. I did not have chest pain. I was diagnosed with GERD. He diagnosed me with heart disease and after having angioplasty at Mt Sinai Hospital my symptoms are gone. He is a very good doctor. I have referred my family and friends to him. He is a life saver. Very pleasant person. Good bedside manner. Sat and spoke to us in detail. Took a very through history. Did a through physical exam on my husband. After testings, we found out my husband needed an angiogram. We choose Mt. Sinai hospital in manhattan. Dr Hameedi performed the procedure and my husband needed stents. They were done meticulously. My husband had no complications. He did the procedure thru the wrist and my husband felt nothing. It was a very tolerable experience. My husband feels good and able to exercise much more now thanks to dr Hameedi's diagnosis and treatment.

This doctor saves my husband life. He's a very young foreign doctor, but a very knowledgeable cardiologist. My husband was only 38yrs old and didn't feel well, he would have chest pain, feel weak and ultimately passed out for a minute just by eating his lunch. I took him to the emergency room at Jamaica hospital and after doing several EKG (appx 8) of which the results were all showing a heart problem, the hospital did the ekg until they get 1 result which reads no problem, then they told my husband that he just have a pulled muscle and sent him home. The problem continued to happen so 2 days later I took my husband to his PCP, where the cardiologist visits once a week, and it happened to be Dr. Asim Hameedi, first thing Dr. Hameedi did was an EKG and said that my husband had a silence heart attack, I couldn't believe it. I rushed him to Forest Hills emergency room and they found that he had a silent heart attact and recommended 4 stents for 99% blocked artery. That's been 4 years now… and I cannot thank Dr. Hameedi enough for this miraculous diagnoses. My husband still sees him for follow ups. As a doctor, you can't afford to go wrong because someone may loose their life on it. Jamaica hospital is the worst place to take you family and friends, not even your dog should go there.
