Dr. Asima Yasin, MD

I hadn't had a cervical screening/pap smear for 5 yrs, so at 29 yr old, I decided it was time to go in. It was supposedly covered by my insurance 100%. When I went in, Dr Yasin performed the pap smear and also recommended me to do several other tests like blood work, additional screens, glucose testing and who knows what all these other tests were because it's been so long so I should get them done. So I went ahead with the tests assuming it was all part of regular testing. All my screens and tests came back healthy, absolutely nothing of concern. The bill came back with an astonishing $400!! I was furious and called them to let them know these was part of normal yearly checkup and should be covered 100%. Supposedly their rebuttal was that these tests weren't part of normal screening. I also had at test for "high risk" for 30 yrs and over. I had just turned 29 at the time. I would never go back to a Dr who milks their patients. Worse Dr ever!

I had a very positive impression of Dr. Yasin. She was direct and took a no nonsense approach to my concerns. Her willingness to active listen was appreciated and I felt comfortable with her after the first minute or two of our consultation.
