Dr. Aslam Aziz Jivani, MD

Aslam Jivani, MD is an exceptionally compassionate and dedicated physician. He is more than simply a great physician, but one whose level of empathy is such that a patient feels better leaving his office just having seen and spent time with him. I rarely take the time to review a physician, but Dr. Jivani is so deserving of praise that I feel other patients should have the opportunity to see in print just how outstanding he is as a doctor. He listens intently and answers all questions. He does not just dispense medications to hurry patients on their way but explains not only what is, or may be wrong, but what a patient can expect from their treatment. He is also very conscientious and diligent about follow-up. He returns all phone calls, makes sure that patients understand their test results and spends as much time as is necessary with a patient so that they understand everything they need to know before leaving his office. His staff is also well above average where competence… is concerned. They are polite, professional and dedicated to their patients. This type of management style comes from the top down and is greatly appreciated by every patient. Shabeena Hirari, the nurse practitioner and Miriam, the office manager are exceptional. I recommend Dr. Jivani and his staff to everyone I know who is in search of a physician, both friends and relatives alike. I have also told Dr. Jivani that when he decides to stop practicing medicine, he should teach. He should not just teach Pulmonary Medicine, but instruct medical students on the proper way to deal with patients. Dr. Jivani is knowledgeable, caring, listens to my concerns. However, the office staff needs to improve knowledge, client relation and professionalism. One receptionist was on the phone taking personal calls while patients had to wait for her. His technical assistant lacked knowledge, for example, she was not sure about how a new equipment was to be used and gave incorrect information. (This was on an equipment I was to take home.) My healthcare background came in handy as I read the attached instructions at home and able to make it work. I would recommend Dr. Jivani to others because he is a knowledgeable, compassionate doctor with good client-physician communication/relation. I was referred to him by other healthcare professionals who are his clients.

Dr. Jivani is a very good doctor, and he cares about his patients. He has a excellent bedside manner.

When my friend suggested that I see Dr.Jivani I was a little uneasy when I first got there but when he spoke to me I felt like wow this doctor was a well spoken professional and also he had a very splendid bed side manner and right away did what he needed for both of us to do.
