Dr. Asra Fatima Siddiqi, MD

Arrogant, haughty and not helpful. Offered no help whatsoever. If you want a doctor who has no suggestions and doesn’t help and wastes your time this is your doctor. Stay Away.

I have experienced long wait times, when I used to go on Saturdays, which I can understand get backed up, but that happens when Dr. Siddiqi spends EXTRA time, I'm assuming with a child, or newer patient, showing that she's not abrupt with her consultations. But, that doesn't occur on the weekdays, and she's very apologetic when it does occur. I feel the pain of waiting with New12 on for ~1 hour, but not with the weekdays. I've seen her for about 9 years now, and all of the "pill pusher" comments do NOT reflect her mode. I've been seeing Psych Dr.'s for ~11 year, and I've seen more than 5 total, and I can attest, she's up there with the best (like 2) of them. She's very co-operative with her method of treatment. Granted, I'm more experienced, and have educated myself well on my diagnosis and medications, so I think that comes into play with our interactions, but a 5 min - "here's some pills" description does not fit with my experience, or my projections of how she'd likely be… with other patients.

I think she’s a rude pill pusher & cares nothing about her patients. I’ve discussed my concerns for my child & all she ever offers is more meds. She needs meds if you ask me

Stared at her computer for literally the whole appointment. Overall unfriendly bedside manner and gets angry when you don't want to increase medication dose. All she does is pushes medications at you.

Overworked staff. Never answer phones so cant cancel or reschedule. When they do answer, you are either left holding for 20+ mins, disconnected, or sent to answering machine they never listen to. Then charge you for missed appt that you cancelled on answering machine after 3 attempts to get live person. She only spends 5 mins with you. "Meds working? Ok I'll send refill". Appt over.

The doctors not Bad but the women who run the front are horrible they are very unorganized and rude

I am home within an hour from my appointment time. I have 2 kids with autism and 2 ADHD and I like that she asks my kids how they are feeling and if they are having any issues after I speak with her. She does listen to us and never jumped to increasing the dosage. Adding additional meds. We watch the behaviors and then decide the next option of treatment. She seems to make the rules and decisions in her practice because I have been asked to talk to the Dr regarding g some questions I had. Finding a psychiatrist who takes insurance, has Saturday appointment, and will return my call is difficult to find. Oh and they need to be taking new patients

As others have mentioned, time management seems to be a real issue. We try to get the earliest appointments to avoid waiting for upwards of an hour. Our initial appointments were short, which concerned me. The longer appointments were concerning in a different way, which I can't address specifically because I want to remain anonymous. Suffice to say both my spouse and I found some behavior to be very unprofessional. Dr. Siddiqi definitely listened to my child's descriptions of emotions and feelings, but seemed to increase dosage at the toss of a hat; all my child had to do was say "I want increased dosage" and there was no discussion. In discussing our case with other medical professionals I'm given the impression that we are following a very outdated treatment plan and we are moving to a new psychiatrist as soon as possible.
