Called to setup a preventive check as a new patient with Dr. Atarah Sidey and found that she will not see a new patient without a medical history review appointment first. As a healthy person I am only seeking the free preventive visit which is fully covered by insurance on my new high deductible plan. The medical history review is considered an office visit and I would be fully responsible for the cost of the visit since my deductible has not been met. Why would a new patient want to go for two visits? Also note she has very limited hours and must be scheduled far out. The front desk gave me the run around and was not pleasant to deal with. I expected must more from Adventist but resulted in finding an excellent independent provided nearby in Happy Valley with a next day appointment and fully met my needs.
