For years I've been trying to find a Doctor who understands Chronic pain and nerve pain. My first visit Dr. Israel gave me some measure of hope and the subsequent treatments have been helpful. Very good at listening and observation.

Excellent doctor with a kind and caring demeanor. Highly recommend Dr. Israel.

His nurse is one of the rudest people I've met in my life. It's for the doctor he doesn't seem to understand pain or pain management. Doesn't get prescriptions in on time. I would never recommend anybody going to see him. I don't know how Dr Israel actually got his license to practice!

During my consult considering a spinal electrical stimulator, Dr. Israel became impatient with me and my questions, asking, "How many more questions do you have? I have a patient waiting." He left the room, leaving his nurse to answer my questions. He refused to share the number of similar procedures he had performed, the success rate (patient satisfaction), and number of simulators that had been removed at the patient's request. Eventually, his nurse answered these questions as best she could. I felt like I was an imposition and did not return.

Dr. Israel is totally professional in all aspects of his profession. I would highly recommend him and his staff. I had a Epidural Steroid injection 6~7 section and was virtually painless. He took all the time I needed to answer all my questons that my wife and I had and made us feel very comfortable.

Took my mother to someone else for years with her osteoporosis she saw Dr Chaplin. She always had terrible pain.

I was referred to this doc from my neurologist for nerve blocks. On the first visit, he didn't take me seriously regarding side effects I'd had on migraine meds I'd taken in the past. I had to ask him about the nerve blocks even though that was what my neurologist had specifically referred me for. He asked where my pain was for one side of my nerve block and put the shot in that spot and it helped! He did not ask where the pain was on the other side and of course that side was not helped since he just chose the spot he wanted. At my next visit when I was due for a second nerve block, I said how I just needed it on my left side since my right side was still doing well. When he came in, instead of listening to what I said, he still stuck me on the left and right sides and my right side was worse for migraines afterwards than it had ever been in my life. And to top it all off? As he was doing the nerve blocks he mumbled "I don't know why people want these, they don't work." What… doctor does a treatment that they don't believe in and how unprofessional can you be?! Also, his nurse was nice but they did not communicate well with each other so what should have been a half hour visit turned into an hour because they kept coming in and out of my room while seeing other patients because they kept missing each other once my nerve block prep was ready. It felt more like a circus or a zoo than a doctor's office. And they didn't even have ice packs.........they used a knotted up rubber glove with ice in it for an ice pack.........wouldn't you think a PAIN clinic would have actual ice packs? Would rather die of pain than ever see him again.
