Test results not addressed in follow up visits, or misinformed of lab result status. My patient portal shows difficulty in communicating and getting simple answers to questions such as medication questions or when to get labs done and other issues. I felt I should "hurry up" even though I don't think I was in his office more than a few minutes.

We decided to leave this doctor's care after repeat instances of this doctor being lax in filling prescriptions. This office professed response time in filling scripts is 48 hours. In the most recent experience, it took from Tuesday to Friday for the script to be sent to the pharmacy. This was for blood pressure medication. And yet, this doctor, rather than issue a script for the typical 90 day supply, set it up for a 30 day supply. As such, the patient will be taking another patient's blood pressure medication for the 9 days that the script is short. Dr. Schock has short-changed the script in vengeance because he is aware of changing doctors. He moved to Florida to be close to his family and needs to retire because his lack of medical professionalism is a negative to any and all patient-customers. On precious occasions, this doctor delayed authorizing other medications, including Depakote. This is very alarming for anyone. In this instance, the patient is elderly. We are contacting… Halifax Patient Relations and Halifax Corporate Compliance as this is not acceptable and should be addressed to avoid similar experiences for other prospective customers.

I went to Schock because my normal GP had moved; He saw me promptly when I developed a severe case of sciatica. At first, I found his bedside manner to be clipped, but he recommended an appropriate course of treatment. After setting me up with PT, he sort of lost interest. He was uninterested with my progress, and cast doubt upon my use of pain pills he prescribed. In our last meeting, he refilled my normal scripts, but would neither talk about or refill my pain medication (not an opiate). Dr Schock has been my Dr. For 25 years. He is a great Dr. And very knowledgeable. A five star Doctor
