Dr. Audra Marie Smith, MD

This was the first time I consulted a podiatrist about two areas of pain in my right foot--back of heel and bottom just below my little toe. Dr Smith took 2 x-rays and found a bone spur on my heel. She said the spur may also be causing the pain below my little toe by causing me to walk improperly. She advised me to stop going barefoot on my hardwood floors at home and gave me a lift for my right shoe and RX patches (very expensive at Walgreens) for the pain. Dr Smith was direct & professional. Her examination of my heel caused me brief, extreme pain which led her to take the x-rays. I wish she had done the x-rays FIRST to avoid putting direct pressure on the bone spur. We scheduled a followup in 4 weeks.

I have seen Dr.Smith for several years. My situation is rather complex and she always spends time explaining my medical options and helping me figure out the practical aspects of taking care of my feet at home. Even if it is just a routine visit she is always thorough. I have recommended her to two close friends.
