Dr. Audrey Echt, MD

Every year I'm checked for possible moles that may be cancerous and more often than not a mole is removed that seems suspicious. After moving to NC, had to find a new Dr. After a recommendation from my family Dr, made an appointment with Dr Echt's office. I told the person I spoke to on the phone about my history. I was seen by a very young Dr. G. After explaining my history to him he proceeded to performed only an upper body screening and removed 2 moles. I was told to come back to be re-examined. When I did, I questioned why I was only given an upper body screening. Dr.G said it was because I only scheduled an upper body screening, even after explaining my history to him? Really? I wasn't given a choice when I scheduled the appointment and there shouldn't even be such a choice. Also, after years of screening by a really good NY Dermatologist, I've never been told to schedule a follow up appointment. I think this office maximizes their patient charge. Will not return.

Needed to have MOH's surgery performed on two spots and other doctors wanted to the procedures independently (Insurance purposes?). Dr. Echt and her staff have been awesome in all regards.

Assisting dermatologist (Not Dr Echt) very quickly recommended that a big chunk of my cheek should be cut out, with probably need for plastic surgery. I was not comfortable, since there was very little explanation or alternatives presented. It seemed very abrupt to me, so I went for a second opinion.. glad I did. Be very careful with this dermatology office - they seem to be wanting to maximize their revenue .. my experience was really scary.

I was seen by Holly and she was upbeat and jovial as usual. She removed a lesion very quick, easy and virtually painless. Nurse and office staff were very friendly also. Outstanding office enviroment.

Super! Extremely patient with our son who was quite frightened. Very compassionate and unbelievably although our son thought the worst, he was chill in minutes and thankfully with the staff's patience and persistence, the procedure went well and he is now happily wart free. Extra thanks to Suzanne Deckelbaum for her calm and sweet demeanor towards our son and helped calm our son in order to finish the procedure. Awesome!!!

I came to Dr. Echt after being diagnosed with a skin cancer at another dermatology office. Even after my diagnosis it was almost impossible to get a follow up appointment with my old doctor. They never had an available appointment, even after telling me how important it was to monitor my skin for additional changes. I walked in to Dr. Echt's office and while they also keep a full schedule they were able to squeeze me in just a few weeks rather than months. I have friends who highly recommended this place and I'm glad I followed through. The staff is kind and courteous and they do everything they can to make you feel welcome.

My family hails from Fuquay but we went to Dr. Echt's office after receiving a recommendation from a friend. It is a hike from where we live and the wait for a new appointment was nearly two weeks, but well worth it. My daughter has struggled with psoriasis for years and her symptoms are finally under control thanks to the nurse practitioner she saw. I was sure we had tried every treatment there is, but they really know their stuff.

Dr. Echt and her staff are as kind and professional as you could hope for. I was first diagnosed with a Actinic Keratosis in 2008 before I moved to Raleigh. I had some places treated in the past, but I guess I did significant damage spending so much time in the sun during my childhood. It's hard to re-train yourself on how to take care of your skin after years of tanning, but the staff at Dr. Echt's office took their time explaining the route to recovery. In 2011 I came to see Holly for a screening (Dr. Echt treats with MOHS and her physicians see her patients for regular exams,) and she caught a Basal Cell Carcinoma on my chest. Once it came back positive I met with Dr. Echt to discuss treatment options and I decided to take the leap. MOHS is the most successful treatment for skin cancer and I'm proud to report that almost three years later, I've got a clean bill of health! I even use daily sunscreen! Every nurse I've had since I've been here has been courteous and compassionate. The… doctors are patient, calming, and knowledgeable. I've never spent more than fifteen minutes waiting to go back...which is par for the course these days - my family physician is so busy I can usually count on waiting close to an hour. I'd recommend Dr. Echt's practice to anyone.

As above, it's a shame that most of those who leave feedback are disgruntled. I have been a PT of Dr. Echt and have friends who are under her care as well. I have never had anything but the best experience, and I find the staff very friendly and professional. I would recommend the practice to anyone.

Just an awful experience all the way around. Felt rushed and uncared for. They are interested in shuffling people in and out as quickly as possible, with no regard for the patients health. Would never recommend to anyone.
