Doctor seemed to ignore all of my issues. Nothing was resolved. Not empathetic and in my opinion bad bedside manner.

He does nothing to help you with your health care. You have to tell him what needs to be done. Very arrogant and doesn’t care about anything concerning his patient. Just goes through the motions and doesn’t do anything to help. He doesn’t even make sure you have the basic preventative care shots or procedures.

I have been a patient of Dr Chavez for 3+ years and I still have never met him. All of my appointments were scheduled with NPs. I had an appointment with him that was cancelled 5 days out because he was working as a doctor overseas. He cancelled his appointments the week-of after I had been waiting to see him for 2 months. Recently I had some bloodwork done (endocrine labs) and a different doctor and wanted independent labs run so that I could compare results. I called Dr Chavez to have these scheduled. Two days later he returned my call and said that he would not order the tests 'because it would be medical waste". He said that he is "a steward of medicine and it would be unethical for him to order the labs". He told me that society pays for these and it would not be right for him to order the labs. He did not ask to see me first to evaluate. He simply said he would not order them. Dr. Chavez is an irresponsible doctor. He has refused to help me diagnose an ongoing medical issue… because he sees himself as a gatekeeper to medical resources.
