Beware won’t help you I was left hanging with no solution or diagnosis - shame on Cleveland Clinic for even having this person - I traveled a long way for nothing

After many years of poor treatment and what felt like an unwillingness to help me, I find Dr Hsia who actually cares. I felt heard and understood and cared about. I’m just sorry it took me so long to find him.

This Doctor has the best bed side manner. His diagnosis has made my life so much better and I look forward to working with him in the future.

This doctor should NOT be practicing for spine health because he is dismissive of women’s spinal pain and labels them as having a bad attitude when they question him in regards to their health concerns and correct his inaccurate information he states about them. He did NOT listen to me nor would answer any of my questions regarding my cervical (neck), thoracic (mid back) and lumbar (lower back )pain. He attempted to divert my attention away from my my spinal MRI’s stating that they were normal despite issues seen and noted and the pain was only muscle soreness.

This doctor should NOT be practicing for back/ spine health because he does not like to listen to women or answer any questions regarding their concerns of their health. Dismissive of their pain and labels them as having a bad attitude when you present questions about your health and correct his errors in regards to information about yourself. He tried to divert my attention away from the fact that I had pain down my spine from my cervical (neck) to thoracic (mid back) to my lumbar (lower back) into my hips, telling me that I only have neck & lower back pain. Despite MRI findings he labeled pain as muscle soreness.

I called Cleveland Clinic for a referral for a Neuro-surgeon who would actually LOOK at my excruciating, inflamed painful neck and back. I was told by the receptionist that all my MRI’s that I brought, would be viewed in front of me and Explained. I was also told they would take more MRI’s because I have fallen two additional times since and because it’s been over a year. But instead, I got a doctor who specializes in muscle pain and his main treatment is for rheumatoid issues. This doctor should NOT be practicing for spine health because he would NOT listen to me nor would answer any of my questions regarding my sever painful neck, mid back and lower back pain. In fact he totally tried to divert our (my husband and I) attention from my year old spine MRI’s to talking about muscle soreness. I had two bad falls since all my MRI’s were last done and he did not even want to talk about my spine pain. Do NOT see this person, he had no clue about spine pain. 10 days after this apt,… my husband who had a brain aneurysm and since passed, lovingly made it his life’s mission to find a caring, intelligent, decent spine specialist who could help me. It’s very sad that this doctor didn’t hesitate to take our money and do absolutely nothing to help my spine pain.

Very fond of him and his work. He is an excellent doctor. Highly recommend him. Great bedside manner, polite and very kind to patients

I saw Dr. Hsia because of back issues. He didn't immediately want to put me on meds, etc. We did physical therapy to no avail and are working further into the cause of my pain. Great doctor, easy to understand and explains fully

This was my second appt with Dr Hsia the first appt went well I thought he was a good Dr he spent time with me, answered my questions. The follow-up appt however, was terrible! He was behind by 45 minutes and then when I finally did get to see him he was short, he wouldn't answer specific questions he seemed to just want me out the door it was terrible I will never go back.

1st visit Dr. Spent time listening to me. Sent me for MRI that I hadn't had done in 6 years. I see him again in a week. Will post continued review. So far I like him.
