Aurelio Edward Sadang, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Sadang is a seasoned healthcare professional with a rich history in medicine that spans several decades. Graduating with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1985, he quickly established himself in the field by passing the Physician Board Examination in 1986 and serving as a Captain in the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Corps. His dedication to orthopedic surgery was honed during his residency at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center from 1988 to 1993. After migrating to the United States in 2004, Dr. Sadang further expanded his expertise by passing the NCLEX RN Exam and working at prestigious institutions such as San Francisco General Hospital and Laguna Honda Hospital.With a diverse background in nursing and leadership, Dr. Sadang served as a Blood Collection RN with Vitalant from 2005 to 2011 before taking on the role of Director of Nursing Certificate Program under Leading Age of California. His commitment to education and patient care continued as he worked as …the Director of Nursing at Piedmont Skilled Nursing Facility in Oakland. Dr. Sadang earned his Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Holy Names University in 2013 and later obtained his Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Across the Lifespan Certificate from Fresno State University in 2017. He is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the AANP and as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC.Currently affiliated with the Alameda County Behavioral Health Department since 2020, Dr. Sadang brings a wealth of experience in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and intensive outpatient programs. He is committed to staying current with evidence-based practices, regularly attending conferences such as Psych Congress and the APA Annual Meeting. Dr. Sadang believes in the power of collaboration, treating his patients with respect and dignity while actively listening to their needs. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures, and spending quality time with his family, friends, and his beloved dog, Chandler.
