Dr. Austin Tyler Baeth, MD

I thought Dr. Baeth was excellent. The man sat and talked with me about certain things that he did not like about my problems and what was probably causing them. After the blood test was done he called me personally and confirmed his diagnosis. He then set up a plan of action on what needed to be done. He also called me about other things that needed my attention and what to do. I would recommend him to anyone without a second thought. He does really does go all out for you.

My husband and I have been with Dr Baeth since Dr Vogal left the clinic. His staff is top notch, I love how cheery he is and checks everything in your records and gives compliments. Plus keep us living well and we both are 63 and 65.

I have been seeing Dr Baeth for the past 6 months. I have been in pretty good health my whole life until a little over a year ago. I was using an urgent Care center from another hospital affiliation as my provider, as I didn't have a doctor at the time. The urgent Care doctor, after performing some tests, told me I had sugar in my urine and I had better make an appointment with a primary doctor to check into this further. I did and got the dreaded diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes. It took the wind out of my sails as I saw what my dad went through with his Type 1 diabetes, dying at age 56. I always wanted to find a doctor who was affiliated with Unity Point so I went to their website and found Dr Baeth. I loved his bio. I called his clinic and found out he was accepting new patients. I made an appointment with him for 3 months in the future. One month before that appointment, I received a call from the clinic that Dr Baeth wouldn't be in the office on my appointment day. His next… available appointment for a new patient was 3 months later. I am SO GLAD I decided to make another appointment with Dr Baeth and wait it out until I could have my first appointment. That first appointment sealed the deal for me - I wanted him to be my primary doctor. During my first appointment, he and his nurse Ray spent an entire 50 minutes with me, getting to know me and my health history. Dr Baeth is the most caring and totally genuine doctor I have ever had. He is so very encouraging at every small step I have made in managing my disease. That encouragement I have received from Dr Baeth has given me the motivation to make a bigger commitment to become more healthy and to get off or reduce the meds I am on. I know it is entirely possible with Dr Baeth at the head of my medical team. He is second to none in my books and I would recommend him unequivocally.

Highly recommend Dr. Baeth! He genuinely cares for his patients and works along side patient’s families to respect their treatment goals for loved ones and will do all he can to honor those wishes. When Dr. Hillebrand had given up treated my brother’s liver failure and left him to die, we went Dr. Baeth for help and he looked my brother in the eye and said I (and residents) will do all we can to help you. We made him take the reigns from the dr (hillebrand) who was calling the shots and told him he was our only hope. By the grace of God and a lot of persistence and advocacy on my family’s part, my brother received the liver transplant that Dr. Hillebrand swore would never happen bc he would never get listed and he was way too sick to go thru surgery. We r so thankful for Austin Baeth bc we finally found a dr to step up and fight w us.
