Dr. Austin W Lehr, DO

I met Dr. Lehr by accident. I have really bad insurance . Cigna they sent me 6 hospitals my health was getting worse. The last hospital I was sent to was Research. I was 85 lbs and I was dying.I had so many bad surgeries that my body was in total pain. I’d had a j tube put in at KU and a g tube at NKC. The sicker I got the more pain I was in and my pain meds increased these were eating my stomach. I was ready to give up when Dr Lehr seen my chart and came in my room and said I can fix you he said what did I have to lose. He saved my life by taking a chance that no other dr would do. He was so confident that I knew I had a chance with him. He rerouted my stomach put g tube in lower and j tube. My body is crazy and the tubes constantly fail. He is willing to change out tubes as often as needed. My husband and I are so thankful for him. He doesn’t give up and looks for more solutions. I’m still under his care . I fight hard to live now. I can’t say enough how wonderful he is. I give him 5… stars plus. Thank you Dr Lehr for everything you have done and keeping me on as a patient.

I saw Dr. Lehr for the first time at Menorah and he was the only surgeon willing to take out my gallbladder after dealing months with chronic stomach pain. He explained and knew many cases like mine. While the surgery did make a difference I've still had some continued stomach issues. I've been working with him at his office and he listened to my concerns and once again is the only doctor not giving up on finding the culprit. I also have appreciated his assistant Stacey for taking and returning my calls with any questions and/or concerns. The staff who answers the phones do a great job as well and are always very professional.

I had actually tried to get this surgery done a couple times before, but just never felt really comfortable with the Dr. so I postponed. Dr. Lehr was completely thorough and explained everything step by step to me and made me completely comfortable with moving forward. I'm glad this is behind me and I don't think if I hadn't ended up with Dr. Lehr that I would have ever gotten it done........ It was a good experience for me.

Dr Lehr is one of the best physicians I have ever seen. He is exceptionally professional, kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend him without hesitation.
