Dr. Avanta Patrice Collier, MD

Dr. Collier is a great doctor and a very caring person. She is very thorough and did a great job removing my moles.

Dr. Collier has always been kind to me and answered all my questions. Most of the staff is very nice. I was going to another Dermatologist before I found Dr. Collier. They were very expensive and the physicians were very cold. The only problem I have had is getting a timely appointment.

Back few years ago I was seen by this Dermatologist, I would not recommend to anyone at all, When I made an appt with this office I got it next day I thought it was good so soon but the result was so disappointed she is not a good Dr, she didnt do what she supposed to do, I told her my skin problems and she didnt even listen and only did one thing that was red bumb on my face she did biopsy on it but the result was negative for cancer and she wrote me a letter saying no follow up needed, she never offered any tx and didnt solve my skin problems at all, in my oppinion she has no ideas what it was and for my others skin problems she didnt even want to know, I think she doesnt know what to do, finally I went to Amazon and look for skin products and get ride off my skin problems myself without This Dr help beside that she left some scared on my face when she took biopsy sample from my face, I will never go back to this Dr again and will not recommanded to anywone, to me she is lousy… Dermatologist with poor care, dont be next victims of her find someone else better then her, there arr so many Dermatologist that did good job other then her.

Dr. Collier was terrific in explaining and treating my dad. Incredibly caring and gentle in his treatment. Dr. Colliers assistant, Margaret, was amazing as well.

I did a walk-in for Dr. Collier and was surprised and happy that she accepted me on such short notice. She diagnosed and treated my issue accurately and quickly.

This doctor spent literally 30 seconds with me and while I was in exam room she left as I was calling to find out if skin tag removal was covered from insurance company. The front office told me that a skin tag that was bothersome to me would be removed with no charge before I came in, but then the doctor told me that she charges $150 to remove a skin tag but could remove a total of 15 for $150 for all. However, I only had one so you would think it would be $10 for one, but price was still $150. This doctor just wants your money and will not spend time with you as a patient. She had no concern for me. If the front office told me ahead of time that they were not sure about insurance covering skin tags I would have called insurance company prior to vist or better yet they could have called prior to visit for customer service purposes. Never will I go here again.

My son is seeing a dermatologist, and after reading the other reviews on this website, i was concerned about what my experience would be with her. I just got back from my son's appointment with her, and It couldn't have been better. We waited less than five minutes to see her (compared to the over an hour wait at another dermatologist's office that made me want to try a different doctor). Her office staff was courteous and friendly. The nurse was attentive and professional, yet also very kind. Dr Collier herself came immediately after her nurse had taken all of our info, and I really appreciated her promptness since I was there with my very active 19-month old as well. She took a look at my son, determined a course of action, answered all of our questions, and was friendly and approachable throughout it all. I am so happy that we decided to go there. Very easy, very friendly, no problems whatsoever.

I perceived Dr. Collier as snooty and disinterested in my past treatment (Mayo Clinic). It appears her mantra could be look, annoy patient, write an RX and dismiss.

While I am sure Dr. Collier is a qualified physician, her attitude and chairside manner were very displeasing to me. Snooty is the word that comes to mind.
