Dr. Avis W Severance, DO

I've had Chrons Disease 4yrs, no colon, butthole, three times gutted. We discussed this, yet she still wrote new scripts for meds that CAUSE Colitis, which is the same thing as Chrons. I had to stop a med 2yrs ago because it caused palpataions. Yet she tried to put me back on it! I have requested another doctor as I no longer have any confidence in her.

Talks about her patients with fellow patients. Makes judgments that are unfair. A basket case, an edge, vistitations like having to walk on egg shells. Very moody, problems with husband and too many personal problems. Breaks hippa rights with discussing patient issues with fellow patient friends. Would not recommend. Mis diagnosed BP--prescribed completely wrong medication. Nice lady sometimes, but has endless problems emotionally.

Dr. Severance has been my doctor for over 10 years. My experience with her and the staff has always been exceptional. I feel that my health is important to them and am confident that I am recieving the best care possible.

I love Dr. Severance. She is very caring, and she is understanding of my medical concerns. She is a middle aged woman and so am I, so we have a lot of the same concerns, which has helped me immensely. She is personable, and non judgemental. I also love the gals in the office, they are professional and get to know you personally. I have been able to get an appointment asap when I've had emergencies, and she has been perfect for me.
