Her sister and brother-in-law, both dentists, first sparked her interest in the field; shadowing them showed her how dentistry combines science, hands-on work, and meaningful patient connections, and during the COVID-19 pandemic she made the decision to pursue it herself.
Dr. Kooner wants every patient to feel comfortable, listened to, and never judged. She takes the time to understand each patient's concerns and explains their options in a way that's easy to follow, aiming to make patients feel like an active part of their own care. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and the variety it brings to her day-to-day work.
Dr. Kooner has a twin sister …who is also a dentist — a pediatric dentist in San Antonio — and the two love comparing notes. Outside the office, she spends time with friends and family and recently welcomed Milo, a long-haired mini dachshund, into her life.
