Dr. Ayesha R Ahmar

Started coming here at the beginning of the year, Was having trouble with mental health and was prescribed Lexapro by the RN Who was a very kind woman. She advised me that it’s a serious medication to reach out at anytime I’m feeling different or when the medication wasn’t working. I came back two weeks later for normal blood work results met the doctor for the first time and she was completely rude and dismissive and did not mention one time the medication i was put on two weeks prior or ask me how I was doing on it. She rushed our appointment and let me know if I didn’t join her MDLIVE group which cost about two grand a year that she wouldn’t see me anymore. Fast forward I guess that didn’t work out for her. No one has checked up with me about my medication, but I was told that they were still accepting the regular patients because they didn’t go through with it (the MDLIVE) I was thinking awesome because I really liked the RN and had a really good experience with her and was hoping… I could just keep seeing her. Noticed two weeks ago my medication wasn’t working for me anymore, and I was having trouble with my mental health And I reached out like I was told describing what was going on and asking questions about if I should continue taking my medication or what she recommended. Instead of basic bedside manner I was met with this completely disrespectful response, And then blocked This doctor is a joke. The office is a mess. I do not recommend. She should be ashamed of herself. She’s in it for the money and does not care about her patients at all.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ahmar’s for over 20 years. She has always been very passionate and kind to me and given me excellent care. Wait time can be a little long but she is worth the wait.

I was diagnosed with Lupus over 12 years ago. There are many types of Lupus and I have an extremely Low immune system. Anytime I get sick, it will take 2 months or more for my body to fight the infection on its own. My previous doctor in Maryland would prescribe something to HELP my body fight the infection. I recently started having congestion behind my nose and a scratchy throat. I just so happen to have an appointment with Ahmar already. Once we addressed the original reason for the appointment, I told Ahmar about my symptoms. On her way out the door, she told me to take some OTC medicine. (previous doctor and experience show that OTC medication don't help for Lupus patients) The NEXT DAY I was coughing up green phlegm with a constant cough and fever. I called in to her office and she decided to send an antibiotic to the pharmacy. She did not ask me any questions or go over my symptoms. No one called for a follow-up appointment after prescribing medication, to see if I was any… better. My previous doctors would follow up. Fast Forward, when I saw her on my next appointment, not related to this congestion and phlegm, She sent in a PA. I don't have a problem with a PA, but after missing my diagnoses, you would think that she would want to check on my progress. When I spoke to her about what happened, and feeling like my concerns/symptoms were dismissed, she basically said that in the future, I should allow the virus to run its course, no matter how long it takes. My intent was to just talk about it, but Ahmar was offended that I questioned her and that I can make up my mind what I want to do in the future. I am a AF veteran and retired Deputy Sheriff. I don't have a drug problem and I don't lie about being sick. Ahmar made me feel like, her decision (not prescribing me something) was based on fact and my symptoms and medical history were irrelevant. My husband and I will be looking for a new doctor. Ahmar lacks patience & bedside manner.

I have seeing Dr. Ayesha Ahmar for quite a few years and in that time I have received the best of care from her. She sits and listens to my concerns and has shown herself to be a very professional, courteous and caring physician. Her staff is very friendly and nice. They always have a smile when they work with you. I would recommend Dr Ayesha Ahmar to all my friends and family.

I waited 1 hour on the first day only to be told that the doctor had left and I had to see the physician assistant. She made me come in just to tell me my lab result and also made me come in the next day to change my medication. In all of this, I had to pay a copay for every visit. On the last day of my visit I waited 2 hours just to see the doctor who came in and wrote my prescription for only one month. If you desire quality service avoid this place like a plaque!!!!

I had to wait almost 1hour in the waiting room then 1 hour in the examination room for the doctor. She had absolutely no bedside manners, did not greet well, no smile on the face. No professionalism. I would not recommend her.

i went to her 2x in oviedo wait was too long in waiting room consist of 4 chairs. i get uti (urinary tract infections) all the time in ny the dr there would give me an antibiotic and the little orange pill. she had no idea what the orange pill was.....that wasn't the problem i made a follow up appointment with her in the oviedo office when i got there waited about 45 min to find out there was another dr and she wasn't coming to the oviedo office any longer. the dr that was there didn't even know i had an appointment and he was into natural medicine. i left the office. don't even bother.

Just stay away. Don't even waste you're time.
