Dr. Ayesha Farooq Malik

I have been wanting to write this review since last year when I went to see Dr. Malik, to make sure I had other opinions before I went ahead with it. I was so excited to go see her since I had read her amazing reviews and she was closer to my age and thought she would understand me. At this time I had no insurance and paid $250 for a visit with her. I went to see her because I was loosing all of my hair due to alopecia, along with other symptoms like muscle pain, heart palpitations, anxiety, having my period almost every day and a large thyroid gland... I was desperate for some answers or at least some empathy and finding a Dr. that would care and try to dig and see what was causing everything. I saw Dr Malik for literally maybe 12 minutes, she basically told me all my symptoms were made up and it was bc I was reading it online! what Dr does that?? She told me all my symptoms including loosing my hair were due to stress and that there was nothing she could do. She advise that I… should go see my Gyno to check why I was having my period every day. She order me a thyroid sonogram and sent me on my way!!! I left her office, with no answers, no sympathy and hysterically crying because she did not seem to care. Not only did she not care... I got an additional bill of $150 for the consult. I called the office and they advised me that the initial price they gave me wasn't the final invoice, that the bill was decided by Dr. Malik depending on what she does at the time of the visit and how long she is with a patient!! like what??? I had to literally cry to them and informed them that she saw me for 12minutes!! while I waited for her for almost 30 minutes! ( they ended up waiving that fee) Fast forward, I was able to go see another endocrinologist who ordered me every single test you can think of! She listened to all my concerns and did a sonogram for my thyroid that same day and noticed I had a nodule. We discovered I have hashimotos which could be one of the reasons I was feeling so horrible, along with other stuff. I honestly believe that insurance had to do a lot with how people are treated, if you assume that I cannot afford some type of treatment than they dismiss you. I hope that no one else has felt this way but I have been wanting to write this for a while now and share my experience. You never know what your patients are going through and we are paying a lot of money to seek help so a little more concern and empathy goes a long way and can potentially save someone's life! physically and mentally..

Dr. Malik is down to earth and does not rush the appointment. I like the fact that she’s on time and answered all your questions. I will definitely be recommending her to my friends and family. She’s on time

Dr.Malik is very profesional doctor, she tales time listening to their patients and she performs a very detailed examination of the patient. She also explained every detail of your condition in an easy terms. In one work her anthem office staff are awesone

very thorough and patient doctor who has helped me with my diabetes. I am glad I found a good endocrinologist!
