This is an awful medical staff!!!!

He saved my husband from death, after ER drs said he's almost brain dead since my husband had hemorrage in the brain , he drain the blood and placed a shunt to prevent excess fluids , and since then my husband is feeling awesome , he did a medical miracle , and he kept me posted of his condition almost every day and listened and answered all my questions, very highly recommended.

Glad we changed physicians after hearing from a close friend. Warning!!! He will do surgery on anyone because of Money.Other surgeons have complained about his choice in treating patients that do not need surgery. Patients need a better outcome, not worse. There are other respectable surgeons in the area you can visit. I would highly recommend a second opinion and ask about Salem.

I would NEVER recommend this doctor. While he may be minimally competent as a surgeon, I call him the phantom doctor because I saw him ONCE in the emergency room prior to my surgery, where he never even examined me, and he never showed up for any post-op visits. Although I was his first surgery of the day, he was over 2-hours late, holding up the entire surgical staff. In addition, he never even wrote up an operation report. His name should be Ayman "Take the Money and Run" Salem. We went to his office for a follow-up, and after waiting 45-minutes, we learned by chance he wasn't even in the office yet and his staff HOPED he would be there in an hour. Other patients in the waiting room, said that this was typical for him. There are too many excellent surgeon in Los Angeles to suffer at the hands of Dr. Salem. Horrible, horrible experience.
