Dr. Aysegul C Soyer, MD

Went there years ago never, not once saw the actual Dr. only Brenda Crum. Needless to say I wouldn't let her help w/my turtles. However, they wznt their $$. I was raised if you didn't do your job you didn't get paid. So, there you have it, they're an awful team.

I was having issues with my head for over 10 years, everything from migraines to buzzing in the ears. Most of the doctors I had seen in the past, were either young, new to my case or just wanted to treat the current symptom and what’s worse, they never read my patient history. After this last bout with the migraines and buzzing, i asked for a referral and the referring doctor gave me rave reviews on Dr. Soyer. I didn’t hesitate calling and Joanne was kind enough to offer an appointment that same week. After meeting with Dr. Soyer, a lumbar puncture, MRI and a slew of blood tests, i have a result, not the greatest but an diagnosis nonetheless... in a matter of a month, I received a steady hand, a directness that eliminates doubt in her knowledge, and patience that appreciated. I asked for answers, and got a treatment plan. Other reviews have been less than favorable, but I didn’t need sympathetic coddling, i needed and got a doctor, a knowledgeable, understanding, caring doctor. Though… my life may have changed, I’m ecstatic to have her and her office as a resource.

I'm 47 and an only child. Just took my sick 78 old Father to Dr. Soyer for a second appointment. I have NEVER experienced a doctor with literally no patience, no compassion, no temperament, no interest in answering the patient's questions or concerns !! She is truly a COLD, RUDE, UNFRIENDLY, MEAN, and UNSTABLE person. How any such person with these obvious mental character flaws can be a practicing doctor is beyond me ?? Every time I tried to calmly ask a question or get her opinion on something she abruptly cut me off, gave me serious dirty looks, and nasty unfriendly remarks !!! I then calmly told her "You don't like answering questions do you?" and her response was "I don't like being questioned!". She then admitted to my face that she has a short temper and she half-assed tried to apologize, but it was way too late after all I experienced. She constantly gives the patient and family member "abrupt orders" in a unfriendly cold, mean manner ! Literally like a military commander… or something ? I'm not exaggerating ! She also made some very disturbing medical recommendations that I will be verifying with other doctors about the safety of her instructions for my Dad. First I asked her about my Dad's mental meds (from another doctor) and she told me she does not comment on "mental health" meds or treatment since that is not her specialty (which makes sense), but then 2 minutes later she completely on HER OWN decided to DOUBLE my Dad's anxiety medication that a Phyciatrist originally prescribed him ? AND SHE DID NOT CHECK WITH HIS OTHER DOCTOR BEFORE DECIDING THIS ON HER OWN ?? She said she would send a note to the other doctor ? Dangerous, Reckless, Incompetent !!! I told her "I thought you don't do opinions or treatment for mental conditions" and she replied in a quick mean tone......."Well, I changed my mind !" Finally, she initially stated today that she did not think my Dad has Parkinson's, but yet she continued him on a pill specifically for Parkinson's AND she increased the dose ???!!!!??? I'm literally going to call every medical board and doctor oversight organization in Va to report her and get her medical licence stripped. She is seriously a mean, cold-hearted, unstable, unfriendly person who should NOT be treating sick people. By the way, I'm a clear headed, non drinking, non drugging, completely mentally stable smart person who is 100% being honest and accurate in my description of Dr. Soyer. STAY AWAY EVERYBODY !!!!

She is a pill pusher, cold, uncaring, I won't go back to her.

I experienced a stroke and was referred to Dr. Soyer. I found her and her staff to be very professional and helpful. I have fully recovered thanks to Dr. Soyer, and I am very grateful.

Horrible woman! Please she needs to quit her job now! She is miserable dealing with patients. Do Not go there!

Drive the extra hour to see someone else, I've never experienced someone as RUDE as this woman. How she got to be a doctor? Not one inch of compassion. If she hates her job, just retire already. We need more kindness in this world!

After spending 3 days in the hospital, we are told to go to her for a follow up visit...we are then told that my family member is “FAT” and we need to go to another specialist for a Second opinion.

Do not go there.Uncaring people who explain nothing

This old grumpy lady with gray hair at the reception (not sure if that's Dr.Soyer) doesn't have manners. She's very rude to me. But, the rest of the staff are friendly. If there is 0 star rating, I'll give that. I thought I was the only one who had a bad experience with this office but upon reading the comments of the reviewers, it's CONFIRMED that rudeness is exist in her office. Would definitely NOT recommend her!
