Dr. Azfar Mohd Malik, MD

Dr.MALIK is my favorite doctor. He is always kind and honest with me. Trust is what I value most in a doctor. I always feel safe under his care.

I high recommend Dr. Malik for treating Bipolar 1. After many months of rapid cycling mania he was able to provide the right medications to stablizie my family member and give him his life back. His team members are equally as good.

He canceled my appointments with him for almost a year in a row, leaving me to be treated by his nurse. When he didn't cancel I've waited more than three hours past my appointment time, sometimes as late at 10pm, to actually see him. He wrote off serious side effects of my medication as stress for nearly a year until I stopped the medication myself and demanded something else which his nurse actually prescribed because I couldn't get a hold of him at all for more than two weeks. His note talking is not very good and every appointment he asked if this was my first time seeing him. It was like starting over with a new doctor every appointment. No one ever answers the phone, I've been on hold for an hour before the system hung up on me several times. They lost my appointment several times, once several in a row so that I didn't see anyone for nine months. Do not waste your time with this man and his practice.

Dr. Malik is kind, caring, and thorough. Highly recommend him. Super doc!

Office staff at South County office is horrendous. Rude, ignorant, unhelpful & no responsive to phone calls. Office manager, Peg is terrible & never returns s call. My son thinks Dr. Malik is great but the wait time is ridiculous as well as trying to get in to see him. It takes 3-4 months to get in & then they cancel frequently after waiting months for an appointment.

Psych Care Consultants staff is inefficient and discourteous. Dr. Malik chose them and supports them. Dr. Malik himself is unlikely to diagnose what the patient has. He has his pet diagnosis.

Dr Malik is a caring and compassionate Dr whow takes his time with you...once you're sitting across from him. He is very observant .

He is the most professional person I know. I really don't know how he does so much. He has such a passion for helping some of the most hopeless people and takes up the slack for his sister (Shazia) on numerous occasions. He is excellent. His partner, Dr Yasin, is also wonderful. If you can get an appointment to see Dr Malik, He should be your first choice. He is first rate.

I have been going to see Dr. Azfar for 2yrs. I think that he is a good Dr. He shows good skills. However I couldn't be more unhappy with the south co, office. The have forgot to call in my meds and or insurance pre op, at least 10 different times. I come to every appointment, the meds that he has me have sever side affects when suddenly stoped, and they know this. When you call they are rude as can be, and say its done or called in when its not time and time again. The only reason I have dealt with it this long, it is a specialized treatment that very few Dr. can do, and it has worked very well for me. But to know that I will get sick 5-7 times a year because of his offices incompetence is horrible. There waits in there are on avg. at least are 1-1/2 hrs I have waited up to 2-1/2 hrs more than once. And I know that's just how bad its ran there, because I have talked to many of the other patience. I feel like if you didn't have mental issues when you walked in that office you will when… you walk out. I also think the building is discusting Dr. office I may have ever been in. They take on way more patience than they can support and the people they hire, ( well most of them) are terrible at what they do. The worst part about the negligence they have for there patience, is they lie about what they will do, or have not done. And be very rude while doing so. I want to say in the last 8 appointments I havnt even seen Dr. Azfar Mallik, it has always been his nurses. I know that's not even proper protocol.
