Azhar M. Yunus, MD, is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who practices full-time at Rogers Memorial Hospital â€“ Milwaukee. Dr. Yunus was chief resident and child fellow in the division of child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics from 2006 to 2008 where he was awarded the Outstanding Psychiatry Resident award from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He also completed his residency in general psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 2006 following his general psychiatry internship at the Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship in 2003 at the University of Michigan School of Medicine, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Wisconsin Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Medical Association and Wisconsin Medical Society. I was blown away with the knowledge Dr. Yunus had plus the patience. My son is 11 with Anxiety & ADD and he worked with us to find the right medication for him. He talks with your child and at the child's level. He makes sure you understand everything and checks in. If you are struggling to find right medication for you or your child I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Yunus.

He’s a good doctor but acts like he’s in control ALL THE TIME. He’ll make people, especially parents feel dumb sometimes. As a doctor I think he’s good and prescribes the right medecine. He helped my son a lot. However, I think he needs to realize that he’s not the smartest person on the planet. That said though, I DO RECOMMEND as he WILL HELP your child out in the end - and that’s what we all want.

Very good doctor. Very nice and polite. What we liked the most was his cautious approach with medications

Dr Yunus was wonderful. Able to make us feel very comfortable. He was able to explain things in a way that was easy to understand and offered our family hope.

Dr Yunus was able to accurately diagnose my child's condition and explain it in a way that I could understand. He is very nice.
