Dr. Al'Khafaji is kind, caring and compassionate. He took the time to go over my past medical history and listened to all of my concerns. I would highly recommend him to all of my friends and family.

I was diagnosed with colon cancer and Dr. Alkhafaji was hired to do the colon resection. I also had a hernia near my belly button and he was to correct my hernia at the same time as the colon resection. Almost 3 months after surgery to the right of my belly button there was a large bunch. I did some research on the internet to find that it was an incisional hernia. The incision was done vertically right through my belly button and the Dr said reason for acquiring a incisional hernia after surgery was my age ,my being over weight .,and when I noticed the bulge and after wearing a hernia belt for a day and went to see him the hernia was not bulging in his office and he kept saying show me, show me . He removed part of my Colon and fixed a umbilical hernia of which I got infection in the incision 2 days later in hospital where he then grabbed my nurses scissors and stabbed at the incision while nurse and my son watched in awe. Dr. Alkahafaji told my daughter the hernia would come back and… would probably be larger. Because of the infection they went back into the wound and had to put a vacuum on the wound to drain the infection. He told my daughter that because of the infection the hernia surgery did not take and did not hold the mesh. He never once mentioned that to me.

I made a list of the questions I wanted to ask this surgeon for my peace of mind.I was not able to get a straight answer!The one question I was able to ask, He made fun of me and made me feel uninteligent and below him.Made me feel like he was God's gift to meGetting a 2nd opinion.....

I wouldn't let this surgeon treat my dog. For a vascular surgeon, he has no idea of the effects of coumadin or who should be using it. He misrepresented his plan of surgery and figures it is "His Way or the Highway."An absolute disgrace to the practice of medicine. I refused to allow him to treat me.
