Dr. Babak Danesh, MD

I had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy a couple of weeks apart. The procedures went fine, but 6 months later I got a bill for $1400.00. I had no idea is was due or coming, and the phone calls are very aggressive.

My experience with this practice has been with Dr B. Danesh (99.9% of my visits have been with him) As to this Dr. I am very pleased to say he is very Good! Explains- Shows- Response & beside manner A -- *as to getting an appointment 50/50 - maybe 1-2 weeks wait-- sometimes a month+ . It seems they overbook! Also other doctors are in this practice-- so it DOES get crowded in waiting room- as to the wait-- YEAH--- anything from 1-2+ hours wait time * UNFORTUNATELY this is a BIG PROBLEM WITH MANY DOCTORS NOW A DAYS- Health System Is Crazy- Most Over Book Appointment (If not all!!) THAT IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM + TURNOFF IN MOST ALL MEDICAL PRACTICES!!! Bottom Line-- out of the doctors in this practice I've had a pretty good experience with Danesh... Can't say much about the other 3... although Lobo + Adhami have seen my mother and she has no complaints *So Far. TRUTHFULLY I will stick with the one that sees me- I have already built trust with him. REASON why I give this 4 stars… - Because of this one Doctor "B. Danesh" KUDOS... DR. B. Danesh!!!! AS TO EMERGENCIES- there are VERY VERY FEW doctors available on an EMER BASIS - BIG SHAME IN THE MEDICAL FIELD-- THIS SEEMS TO BE THE NORM IN TODAYS MEDICAL PRACTICES... ER is just as bad -- *** IF I where to give STARS for the Practices Of Medical Offices i.e. WAIT TIME- APPOINTMENTS- INDIVIDUAL CARE (etc...) -- it would ONLY be ONE STAR! 'cause medical care now-a-days has really hit rock bottom! IN GENERAL.

My husband and I waited exactly 2 hours and 55 minutes to see Dr Danesh. When he finally came in the room he never apologized for the extremely long wait. So rude. We met him in the emergency room and had to take him and did a procedure that we had to go to get the diagnosis otherwise we would have walked out. I told him we would never come back. I know if I was nearly 3 hours late that he would not have seen us. I should have charged him for our time. I would never, never recommend this office. I would say run don’t walk. I think Northwell should be notified of his behavior.

I met Dr. Danesh about 8 years ago in the hospital. I was in there because of heart issues at the time , but I had had major stomach issues as well. I was in my 20's. He came in with his "team" and put it to me straight (why I was having problems). He is EXTREMELY thorough. I have developed more serious gastro problems since meeting him and he has guided me through all of it and sent me to the best specialists that he knows (in the city). He got me appointments within days. He instills the fear of God in me..hahaha...but he is also a very kind doctor underneath it all. He has a no nonsense attitude though. The wait time in the office is awful...prepare to lose hours of your life, but when you finally see him, he will take all the time in the world to explain everything in full detail to you. I have seen many doctors over my short lifetime and I trust almost none of them. He is a "good egg" and he is the hardest working doctor I have ever met! you are in good hands with him.

Wait time varies. Well worth the wait.

I met Dr Danesh in the hospital with painful colitis. He had an excellent bedside manner and explained very well.

I had a appointment today @ 3:00 I finally left after waiting for 1 1/2 hours and being told soon, the waiting room was so full and no seats available. I do not think this is acceptable to wait this long!!
