Dr. Babak Litkouhi, MD

Writing a review for my mom, Tanny. Dr. Litkouhi, is a great doctor, he came to check on us pre-op, post op to follow up with my daughter and checked in the next day on his day off. What a wonderful doctor and such amazing patient care.

Professional amazing caring Dr . I have stage 4 Endometriosis and he did my surgery. He is very kind and patient. I am very grateful for him .

This physician is a GYNECOLOGIST not a Gastroenterologist back in 2015 I was laying in Yale New Haven ER for over 72 hours with abdominal pain. He took me to surgery without a GI surgeon and botched me up. Since then I am unable to eat anything a few months after the surgery I called him crying in pain he told me I had to start swimming well I lost my home due to having to be out of work with two other surgeries due to his mess. It ya inhuman to not be able to eat food that it literally goes right through me while trying to eat because he removed my Value at the end of my intestines. I can’t gain weight found out years later that he was supposed to put me on TPN for nutrition right after surgery and that would have prevented all of this. I have diarrhea nonstop am fading away and dying due to this surgery. It is a shame that he walks away Scott free and I suffer daily due to his lack of knowledge as a doctor. But I also blame the hospital for putting an Oncologist on a perforation… surgery. He called me his miracle well I’ve been suffering ever since he put his hands on me. And I am dying now with no medical help out there. So Thank you for nothing you kept me around to suffer until death. I haven’t enjoyed a meal, a holiday, anything that has to do with eating since.

My primary dr found a mass in me, dr said it was probably cancer. Sothey sent me to Stanford and on my way to Stanford I got a call not to come in ,a girl made a mistake so I wasn’t able to see the Dr they scheduled me to see ,but they help me see another Dr I ended up with Dr Babak and was grateful for it. He told me he I don’t have cancer, but I do need surgery. I have surgery in 4 weeks. But so thankful for Dr Babaka he was such a kind man. So grateful for a Dr who cares about their patients.

I was diagnosed by a Stanford OBGYN with a potential endometrial cancer and referred to Dr. Litkouhi. He reviewed my MRI results and scheduled me for surgery. His style and confidence made me very comfortable for at 70 my first really scary surgery. His communication style and calm frankness made both me and my husband very very confident and reduced our anxiety. He is an awesome addition to Stanford, who already has a lot of great Doctors. I was lucky to be referred to him.

I was referred to dr. Litkouhi, because one of the other doctors was not available. Lucky me. Sorry to see him go. Wish him the best sunshine and appt.in Cal.

Faced with endometrial cancer diagnosis. He calmly explained the options and never spoke ill of other oncologists from another practice. He gave me assurance that the treatment recommendation was consistent regardless of who I chose. I chose him and had no complications with the hysterectomy. Great surgeon with bedside manners while still being straightforward and supportive. Sad to hear he is leaving but Stanford is lucky to be having him join their team.

Dr. Litkouhi saved my sister's life 11 years ago in 2007. He is the best of the best.

There isn't enough space to EXPLAIN HOW AMAZING Dr Litkouhi is. I was admitted into HUMC for a Cervical pregnancy. I was seen by a team of Specialist all who felt that my only option to treat this was a RADICAL HYSTERECTOMY. Not Dr. Litkouhi. He night his compassion and most importantly: options!! We managed this nightmare without surgery with my uterus intact. I'll never have enough words to THANK DR. LITKOUHI for his professionalism, kindness and expertise!!! Highly recommended!!
