Babu Koka, MD, MBBS

Babu V. R. Koka, MD, MBBS, is a senior associate in perioperative anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor of anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in pediatric anesthesiology and perioperative care for infants, children, and adolescents undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures. Dr. Koka earned his medical degree from the University of Madras Faculty of Medicine in India and completed his internship and residency training in New York, followed by fellowship training in pediatric anesthesia at Boston Children’s Hospital. Board certified in anesthesiology, he has decades of clinical and academic experience focused on delivering safe, high-quality anesthesia care for pediatric patients.
