Dr. Babu S Kumar, MD

Dr. Kumar is an excellent doctor and has been right on point with his diagnosis each time I have seen him. His staff has been an absolute nightmare. From having forms filled out by them incorrectly to not sending information and records to my other doctors in a timely manner. This aspect ruins all the positives of Dr Kumar as my doctor. I will not be a returning patient. He seems oblivious to what his staff is and isn't doing. The only thing they have done quickly is bill my insurance company.

Dr. Kumar maintains a busy practice with a good support staff. He is extremely well qualified and a caring physician.

I dont normally review places but this needs to be said. I usually like this place, doctors are nice...but I just went for a visit and they told me I have been taking wrong dose of my thyroid med for an entire year!! Got bloodwork done and said, yes you need higher dose it is all set and sent to pharmacy. Went and picked up and noticed at home they still sent wrong dose! I feel like this is malpractice. I went to the clinic to speak and they said just cut it in half its easy. I expressed my doubts as I have had trouble in past with other pills. Sure enough upon arriving home and trying to cut, NONE of them were equal sizes. They promised me this time prescription would be correct in system, but why wasnt it the last two times and for an entire year! Who knows how it has affected my body? Who wants to bet when I try to refill it will still be wrong prescription and they will say too early to refill due to me cutting in half? I didnt even receive an apology. Now for 45 days I will be… taking slightly off needed dosage again... I would sue if I knew it would do any good.

Doctor Kumar is a very intelligent and good man, evidently. He is also kind, and seemingly an excellent doctor. Unfortunately, and through no fault of his own, he is operating within a system which has become depersonalized and anonymous. There is no time, for doctors, to establish even a minimal personal relationship: one fixes the starting system of the car, without looking at the engine. Since Reagan, it has become like this, and the Yale system is also extremely rigid and impersonal. This is not the fault of Doctor Kumar, and there is nothing he can do about it.

Dr. Kumar's office is inviting and the nurses do not forget about you. Your wait time is no longer than 15 minutes. The office is comfortable even when the weather is bad, you walk into their office and you feel right at home. My first visit was a thumb up and Dr. Kumars office became my primary after a 15 year search.

Loved his late hours. He spent timewith me and even called me back the same day with my results.
