Dr. Badr Khalil Ghumrawi, MD

Ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair. Saved my life. Great surgeon, great follow-ups both in hospital and in his office. My incident happened in May 2018 back when he was located in Ravenna Ohio. The aorta repair consisted of a Gore Excluder endoprosthesis inserted via Laparoscopy. Highly recommend Dr. Ghumrawi.

Misdiagnosed mediastinal cyst as a tumor. During surgery, Dr Ghumwari cut my vagus nerve. I could not speak well until both Cleveland Clinic partially repaired the connection. I will never be able to sing again. I was lucky — a severed vagus nerve could have had even worse complications.

Excellent surgeon of chest tube placement removing trapped air in the pleural space allowing my lung to reinflate and heal.

He has saved patients legs that otherwise would have lost them.

Dr. G is the best Dr I have had in a long time. He makes me feel important and he cares about me. He has been my Dr since 2011 when I was diagnosed with lung cancer. I see him every 4 months and look forward to going in.

Dr. Ghumrawi misdiagnosed my thoracic tumor. When removing it (which was not really necessary) he cut a major nerve in my neck. He acted as if the problem was all in my mind. He never apologized. Thank goodness that the Cleveland Clinic was able to do reconstructive surgery a year later.
