Dr. Badr Idbeis, MD

My mother walked into the Kansas Medical Center on a Friday and three days later died. After her surgery we did NOT receive a call from the surgeon, Dr.Badr Idbeis, and despite multiple attempts to contact him, my family has still NOT received a call to explain how the surgery went or why things went so terribly wrong. Based on cell phone conversations with my mother, it was obvious within a day of the surgery things were headed downhill. Yet, despite pleas from the family, some phone calls were not responded to and some responses were received hours after the inquiries were made. Even though he is the CEO of the facility, his arrogance in not responding to the family is both frustrating, shows a complete lack of compassion and is unprofessional.

I was in the right place and the right time . He performed emergency quadruple bypass on me while having to keep me stable for hours while he finished on another patient . I can’t give him higher marks. Thank you thank you thank you. Merv Wiltshire.

Excellent care

I'm now 73 years old. Eight years ago Dr. Idbeis performed quintuple bypass surgery on me follow a heart attack. After a fast recovery I returned to a very active life with absolutely no restrictions of any kind, including playing ice hockey several times a week. I've been hit so hard at times when I'm playing that I'm sometimes surprised that I can get up and that the ticker is still working. To anyone who is planning this kind of surgery I will say that your prospects are probably far better than you might think, and that Dr. Idbeis is outstanding. Michael Young

Left on vacation 5 days after my dad had surgery. No one in family aware he had left till nurse told us. Dr filling in didn't do his job and my dad died of pneumonia because of it
