Dr. Bahar Madani, MD

I love Dr. Madani, she worked diligently for me to get my Kidney & Liver Transplant.

She was prompt, very thorough and knowledgable. She communicated her findings ver well and easy way for me to undrestand.

Terrible bedside manner. Madani was actually angry with me and stated coulld not help me When I stated was having difficulties at work due to confusion and memory loss. Stated I was depressed and needed to see a psychiatrist . When I saw the psychiatrist he ran more bloodwork and discovered my ammonia levels were highly elevated. He stated I may be suffering sty hepatic encephalopathy. I returned back to the liver institute and saw another doctor who prescribed a regimen of lactulose. Thank God she is no longer at the liver institute. I have been a patient there for approximately 8 years and never was treated as poorly as I was when she became my doctor.

Very disappointed in the bedside manner of Dr. Madani. first appointment she told me I could not ask questions until it was the question part of the appointment...she didn't even examine me in either of my two visits. Just felt like since I wasn't sick enough for a transplant at that time, I was wasting her time. I gave her two opportunities...I won't be back.

you are not just a patient when you see her, you are treated as a special human being!

Her staff has a lot to be desired. The last visit she was in a hurry to leave and never gave me a chance to ask questions. Numerous calls to her nurse and other supporting staff where never returned. Prescription expired and renewed late so we had to reschedule and this was after we found out they never sent the presricption in the first place. Poor quality all the way around. If we weren't so far in the process we would find a different doctor. Just hope they don't misread the results or not late in providing results in the future. Never reccomend this doctor or her staff.
