Dr. Bakula Rajesh Sheth, MD

There are not enough stars in the sky for me to rate Dr. Bakula Sheth. She recently cared for my mom during her final days with liver cancer. She fought tenaciously for my mom and was her advocate through hospital, nursing home, and up until her final moments. I am humbled and grateful for how much she cared for my mom. Words fail me, but in the hardest time in my life and the end of my mom's, Dr. Sheth was everything I wanted on a doctor and more. She was always honest and up front with us, even when the news was bad, but she always treated us with dignity and respect. We were lucky to find Doctor Sheth.

She treats you well, she will talk with you for a reasonable amount of time. SHe will do her best to work with you on treatment doesn't believe drugs are always the answer

Very caring, good diagnostitian

Initially, I had heard good things about her personal approach and small office. Our first appt. went well-I was on private insurance through work. I had snowball effect body pains since a slip in the winter,that eventually led to my loss of employment. With no income I qualified for Passport-Welfare health insurance. I chose her name from a large pool of MD's, early in my selection period. I needed to be seen. My pain level increasing due to back problems and related effects.I contacted her office and asked the receptionist/Medical Assistant about making payment arrangements for remaining co-pays that had been billed during the same call that informed the office of the insurance change. I was told I had to be on the list, before I could be seen, and that when I next came in I could arrange payments. Finally, my name was on the list, I had the card with her name on it and I came in for an appt. I was in so much pain my blood pressure was 160/100. Her trainee assistant conveyed the… message back.I would not be seen today because I still owed her $42.31. If I could pay it tomorrow, I could come back. I was prepared to give her some of it, but with no income, not all of it. I told them I didn't have it and left.Turns out, regardless of her being paid or not- my opinion changed. I don't think she cared what my blood pressure was or where it went afterward.

I do recommend Dr. Sheth to all my friends, and I found her through a recommendation. I have never been to her office when she did not spend more than an hour with me. She attempts strongly to keep her patients healthy instead of primarily treating illeness. She cooperates with her patient's goals and preferences. She has brought all my fat stats back in line and they have stayed that way going on three years now. I like that she does not push for a lot of medicine, but encourages dietary, etc, changes. I very much trust her medical judgment.
