Dr. Balin Annete Durr, MD

My son was diagnosed with Schizophrenia 20 years ago and he has been in and out of hospitals and jailed Durr has been seeing him for a few years and finally with all her work she found a good combination of medication that has really made a difference I am so grateful for her my son has not been hospitalized since she has been working with him. We can take care of him at home. Thank you Dr.Durr

I took my son to see Dr Durr and she was awesome. Her wisdom was so helpful to my son as well as myself. She came up with a great plan to help him and suggested vitamins for him to take. Thank you Dr Durr!

Dr. Durr is a great Dr. She spends ample time in order answer any questions I may have and address my issues. She's direct in her care and answers. However, she has good "bedside manners" and is "charming". I appreciate the fact that she gets to the answers quickly. That's not the case with other doctors I've seen. If you're looking for a new doctor, I can't recommend her enough.

She is extremely unprofessional. She was two hours late. when i sat in her office she began making personal calls to her sons teacher. she continued to call her son to tell him to go to class. Once she was done she complained about her patient that was before me. When I explained her the reasons for my visit. she was extremely judgemental. She was using god during the entire appointment. I voiced my opinions about my religion which has nothing to do with my clinical examination. She tried to make me feel guilty for not seeking god during the passing of my child. She made me feel worst about the loss of my child. She has no empathy at all. She began ranting about her being in medical school with her child. she kept ranting how life is hard just suck it up because she went to medical school at a young age.

Being an outpatient for many years, Balin Durr was the last psychiatrist I saw before moving to a new state. I have had my share of great, good, and bad psychiatrist and social workers of being in the system for a long time. Let me just say, from personal experience, that this is the one doctor that actually made me feel nervous while talking with either a psychologist or a psychiatrist. The entire time she made me feel extremely uncomfortable and I felt awkward just even from sitting a couple of feet away from her. I thought my visit was going to be a quick in-and-out like previous doctors, where they would talk to me up to 10 to 15 minutes tops. But she started to delve deep into my history and brought up things that I have been working over the years and have gotten better over the last 3 previous years, but she completely ignored all that improvement. It almost seemed she wanted to get to know me down to the core, and when she tore away at all those bits of self-improvement,… my belief system, and my philosophy on things, she started to nitpick at tiny details that made absolutely no common sense or rational thinking. About a half hour into my first visit it felt like I just received a personal intervention, when at the beginning the only plausible reason I was there was just to get a refill on my medications. Ever since moving to a different state, I had to start over by applying myself into the system again. I even asked Ms. Durr for advice on what would be the next logical step on moving my records to another state, and she gave a vague irrational response as if somehow I was going to hop state lines just so I continue sessions with her. Hands down one of the worst experiences I ever had in a psychologist's office, the atmosphere was very unnerving and unsettling.

Dr.Durr is a sickening human being a sorry excuse for a doctor she's rude argumentative rolls her eyes at you no bedside manner at all she seems to be more worried about her fake braids with are ugly by the way and her nails then about her patients well-being when I went to see her she smell like body odor and pot which turn my stomach right away I wouldn't Force Isis terrorist to be in the same room with this woman for very long

She listens, she is intelligent, she only has the truth. So if you are not ready for the truth then you will mistake it for Dr. Balin being condescending, this is NOT True. People who can't and who don't listen well never "get her". She is uncut and respectful.

Dr. Durr is patronizing of her patients. She even pushes her book on them during appointments! Not to mention she's generally abrasive and has a horrible attitude towards her patients!
