Dr. Ban R Barbat

WARNING: I experienced a troubling TMJ diagnostic exam/consultation, which is done by Joe Dindo (Dr. Barbat's undisclosed husband). I faced condescension, high costs, and aggressive marketing. Their pricing (example: crowns are 58% above national avg), aggressive sales tactics, & pushiness raises ethical concerns about profit prioritization over patient welfare. Moreover, a misdiagnosis of a "locked jaw" contradicted by four other experienced neuromuscular dentists hints at potential use of scare tactics for sales. During the consultation, Joe impatiently complained about answering questions & also exhibited condescension & lack of empathy. Avoid this practice due to inflated costs, subpar treatment, & questionable tactics. Alternative options offering superior care, empathy, & fair pricing exist. I found another neuromuscular dentist with more updated training, compassion, and affordability, surpassing Dr. Barbat. I have longer reviews of Dr. Barbat on other sites with more details.

I've been terrified to get cleanings and see dentist for years. My freind told me to see her after putting up with a bad ache for months. She's just the most gentle and sympathetic doctor I've ever seen. Her staff are also helpful and no one judges me. I appreciate the great level of care too.

I've loved coming to this office for years. It's rare that there's a wait and they're so gentle and friendly. I've had a couple of crowns over the years and it was so painless. I feel so healthy and know that the care has been a big part of it.

I love that she can handle any dental problem and do it without pain. She's been my dentist for years and we all love her. Once the work is done, you never have to worry about it. Best thing is that my mouth feels great and I feel so healthy!

I went in for an urgent dental matter, Dr. had left town, which I wasn't told until late in the exam. The other Dr. was too busy to finish my exam. No provision was made to address my problem, which is unfortunate in that I had swallowed part of a tooth that is breaking down, which can cause internal injury. I was fortunate in that it did not slice anything other than the inside of my throat. I would think that addressing the possibility of this happening again, for safety reasons, would be of importance. The practice doesn't miss an opportunity to collect payment, but your dental care is a matter of their convenience.
