Dr. Banafsheh Kashani is a truly remarkable Reproductive Endrocrinologist in Orange County, CA. The Best Fertility Specialist in Orange County. Dr. Kadshani, Fertility specialist, used cutting edge techniques, modern laboratory testing and good old fashioned grit to help diagnose, treat and eventually overcome our infertility issue... and she did so with a 110% Friendly, Relaxed and Professional Bedside Manner. My wife is a Board Certified Pediatrician, UCSD Med School Grad and overall Sweetheart.. and she chose and stuck with Dr. Kashani for a reason. In the end, it worked. She is pregnant. Background and Patient Demographics: We are (now) feeling very confident as we begin the preliminary medications associated with IVF. Following today's upbeat, educational and (dare I say) fun meeting with Dr. Kashani of the Reproductive Fertility Center in Irvine, CA. This practice is associated with Kaiser Permanente in Irvine CA. Planned Pregnancy in a Planned City. Cue the SciFi Music. My (beautiful and brilliant) wife and I are both 38. This is our first undertaking of the IVF procedure. I feel compelled to share and let others know about this particular clinic, its' staff (NP Lesly was very genuine and considerate) and of course the ineffable Board-Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist, Dr. Banafsheh Kashani. I am wording this review in a very specific way because there is simply not that much information out there on Dr. Kashani yet... and frankly... the appointment went so well, she deserves the permanent recognition. I will summarize in… the interest of brevity. Prior to this appointment I had not researched the many fertility clinics in Orange County and relied on my wife's intuition. Immediately prior to the appointment I read through a half dozen or so profiles and was admittedly questioning the reason my wife selected this practice. We were told we would receive some kind of a discount for being Kaiser blah blah blah... IVF is not eBay so the cost was not our concern. Dr. Kashani has not been performing IVF for 20 years, granted nor has she developed some proprietary retrieval system that when combined with her exclusive diet/exercise plan for success results in a 95% success rate. I thought about it and I was reminded that I too am relatively young and my busy practice and clients stories remind me that no one said you automatically shoot to the top of your game on your 65th birthday. I certainly did not think it would turn out as well as it did. Firstly, Dr. Kashani has the focus of laser beam... answering all of my questions and making us both feel confident in her skills. Tired? Nope. Brief and Short? Nope. Higher than thou? Nope. Dr. Kashani is genuine, clearly an expert and not jaded by 20 years of doing the same things. Her enigmatic approach and enthusiastic nature is exactly what the Dr. ordered. After she prodded my wife with a camera that I just ordered on amazon, I kid, much to surprise there were about 20 smallish follicles. We are also concerned about a thin uterine wall. I was going to suggest trying a new technique known as CGIP (crazy glue implantation procedure) to help with embryonic sticking but my wife wasn't into it. (yet). We have our challenges to deal with and we are now feeling very confident in Dr. Kashani. Also, I sensed that she was happy for us... dare I say excited to help? Fingers Crossed. Legs not so much. 5 Stars.
