Dr. Bankimchandra Hirachand Dalal, MD

This doctor and his wife and staff are the worst I have ever encountered in my 65 years on this planet! I called the office on several occasions to cancel my upcoming colonoscopy as I felt very uncomfortable about him doing the procedure. When I explained my concerns before I left his office instead of him writing them down he chuckled and told me to remind on the day of my procedure! I canceled by leaving a voice message at the office. I called numerous times without a single response! They are charging me $100 due to me not canceling in time. I have talked to the billing department and to the office manager who just happens to be his wife. I am being forced to pay or be turned over to collections. I had the procedure done at Sansum Clinic by the best...Dr. Egan without any complications.

As a medical professional, I am absolutely appalled at the poor level of care (or neglect) I experienced at this office. The staff is very rude and have no respect for the patients. As for Dr. Dalal, he is neglectful in taking 4 weeks to deliver my test results and a misdiagnosis at that. I was fortunate to take my care to a top doctor at USC, who confirmed Dalal's grave mistake.

Staff is incompetent and rude. There's no sense of urgency whatsoever, and it takes months to get an appt., even if there's an urgent condition. When test results were available to him, he did not notify me until 4 weeks later. Luckily, I am a licensed medical professional, and I knew how to seek the proper course of care- however, not here! Ready for the grand finale? Dr. Dalal misdiagnosed me, as confirmed for a top doctor at USC.

He let me go with an unexplained pain, not answering questions, and offering whatever test my insurance would cover that has nothing to do with the area in pain. Always in a hurry to leave the room even when you are talking or asking more questions. Besides he wanted to prescribe drugs for symptoms that I dont have! Im trying to detoxify my liver, no to poison it more.

Recepionist has poor phone social skills, Was very rude when talking to her on the phone to make a appt, So I would not go there not very friendly

It seems that most people (myself included) write reviews to report a negative experience (by our interpretation). I felt compelled to write about my own very positive experience. I was referred to Dr. Dalal after sufferring increasingly severe diahrrea over a few weeks while oon vacation, and subsequent tests showed blood in my stool. i was able to get in to see him within a few days. i found him to be very patient and reassuring while I related my symptoms, and he was extremely gentle and concerned for my comfort during a preliminary office exam and diagnosis. He also gave me a prescription to relieve my symptoms pending the colonoscopy. He explained his findings and follow-up procedures to my husband and driver, and left written instructions. When symptoms unexpectedly returned a few weeks later, Dr. Dalal schedued an appointment for the very next day. For this and follow-up appointments Dr. Dalal has demonstrated the same level of concern and empathy. I have complete… confidence in Dr. Dalal's experience, and patient care.

He couldn't solve the problem so he prescribed anti-depressants and told me it was in my head. He was wrong and rude.

When medication failed to sedate me, Dr. Dalal insisted on conducting my endoscope by FORCING the scope down my throat to my stomach while a male nurse held me down on the bed. I was very painful, humiliating and intrusive and was not medically necessary! Afterwards, when I expressed how painful it had been and I was still very much in pain he responded to me "take some Tylenol"? I was discharged with NO discharge instructions and given 2 RX.'s. One of the RX. was $425 after insurance and the other I had no idea what it was for and why he gave it to me. I wouldn't take my DOG to this guy!
